JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to support our growing construction company.
Our immediate priority is a complete cleanup and reconciliation of four years of bookkeeping records (2023–2026) in QuickBooks Online. We need someone who can review historical transactions, identify discrepancies, organize financial records, and help us establish accurate, reliable books moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Cleanup (Priority Project)
Review and clean up four years of bookkeeping records (2023–2026).
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial transactions.
Review transaction categorization and identify corrections or adjustments needed.
Review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Identify duplicate, missing, or incorrectly recorded transactions.
Review payroll-related bookkeeping entries.
Prepare organized financial reports and coordinate with our accountant as needed.
Establish a clean, organized bookkeeping process for 2027.
Ongoing Bookkeeping & Administrative Support
Maintain accurate and up-to-date QuickBooks records.
Assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and vendor bills.
Monitor outstanding customer payments and follow up on receivables.
Support payroll preparation and financial reporting.
Organize financial documents and maintain accurate records.
Provide general administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience with QuickBooks Online, including historical bookkeeping cleanup.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, AP, and AR.
Previous experience supporting US-based businesses.
Construction industry bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Candidates with demonstrated experience in multi-year bookkeeping cleanup and reconciliation will receive priority consideration.
