JOB OVERVIEW

Gr8 VAs is hiring a Recruiting Specialist to screen insurance agent applicants by phone for a US-based financial services client. This isn't a script-reading job. You need to actually know how to talk to people.

The role: You'll be on the phone conducting screening calls with insurance agent candidates, asking the right questions, reading between the lines, and moving the right people forward. Some calls will go off-script. You'll need the judgment to know how to respond in the moment, when to be warm and empathetic, and when to keep things moving.

- Prior experience in recruiting, phone screening, or candidate sourcing — required
- Fluent, natural English — not robotic or overly rehearsed
- Genuinely enjoys talking to people and it shows in your energy
- Understands the heart and purpose of recruiting
- Reads a room (or a phone call) and adjusts on the fly — plain old common sense
- Can handle questions that fall outside the script
- Warm but professional, knows when empathy is needed and when to stay efficient
- Comfortable owning conversations, not just following a checklist
- Strong organizational skills and follows instructions and schedules closely
- Picks up new tools and processes fast
- Great energy, even when the client is strict — you keep pace and don't rattle easily
- Healthy and reliable — able to show up for every shift without gaps

Compensation:
- 20 hrs/week: $400/month, 1 client
- 30 hrs/week: $600/month, 1 client
- 40 hrs/week: $800/month, 1 full-time client or up to 2 part-time clients
Paid bi-monthly via Wise
US time zone hours (EST/CST)
