Position Overview
Applied Home Health Network (AHHN) is seeking a results-driven Home Care Recruiter to support our rapid growth across Illinois. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding high-quality caregivers (CNAs, HHAs, RNs, LPNs) to ensure uninterrupted care for our clients.
The ideal candidate is metrics-driven, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with a strong ability to build pipelines and fill cases quickly and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full-Cycle Recruitment
Source, screen, and hire caregivers (CNAs, HHAs, RNs, LPNs)
Conduct phone and virtual interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit
Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates to meet staffing demands
2. Staffing & Fill Rate Execution
Partner with scheduling and care support teams to fill open shifts and new cases
Prioritize urgent and high-need cases to minimize unassigned hours
Ensure caregivers are matched appropriately based on skills, availability, and location
3. Candidate Sourcing Strategy
Utilize job boards (Indeed, social media, referrals, community outreach)
Develop relationships with:
CNA training schools
Nursing programs
Community organizations
Execute creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent
4. Onboarding & Compliance
Ensure all candidates meet Illinois requirements, including:
Background checks
Certifications and credentials
Health screenings
Coordinate onboarding process and ensure fast time-to-start
5. Data Tracking & Reporting
Track and report on key recruitment metrics:
Time-to-fill
Fill rate
Pipeline volume
Offer acceptance rate
Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems
6. Retention Support
Support caregiver engagement initiatives to reduce turnover
Conduct follow-ups with new hires to ensure satisfaction and retention
Collaborate with HR and operations to address staffing challenges
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Fill rate of open shifts (Target: 95%+)
Time-to-fill new cases (Target: ? 5 days)
Reduction in unassigned hours
Number of active caregivers onboarded weekly/monthly
Caregiver retention (30/60/90-day)
