Full-Time In-House Real Estate Photo Editor — Individual Applicants Only
Boardwalk Media Group is an established real estate media company based in Orange County, California. We photograph approximately 60 properties per month and are looking for one talented photo editor to join our team in a stable, long-term, full-time position.
This is not a freelance overflow project. We want to build a lasting working relationship with one editor who will learn our style, maintain consistency across every property, and take pride in the final product.
Important: No Agencies or Teams
This position is exclusively for an individual editor.
We are not accepting applications from:
* Editing agencies
* Editing teams
* Account managers or brokers
* Applicants who plan to subcontract or delegate the work
* Applicants sharing an OnlineJobs.ph profile with another person
The person we interview must be the person who personally completes every part of our editing work. Our files may not be downloaded, shared, or sent to anyone else for any reason.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Editing bracketed and flambient real estate photographs
* Blending ambient and flash exposures naturally
* Performing clean, realistic window pulls
* Correcting white balance and mixed-light color casts
* Maintaining consistent wall and room colors throughout an entire property
* Straightening vertical and horizontal lines
* Producing natural, accurate, high-end results without an artificial HDR appearance
* Removing minor distracting objects when requested
* Editing exterior, aerial, twilight, and detail photographs
* Creating virtual twilight images when requested
* Reviewing completed images for quality and consistency
* Following Boardwalk Media Group’s editing standards
* Completing revisions promptly when necessary
* Organizing, exporting, and uploading completed files
* Communicating clearly with our project coordinator and photographers
* Meeting daily turnaround deadlines
As you grow into the position, additional responsibilities may include final quality control and preparing completed jobs for client delivery.
Required Skills
You should have:
* Strong Adobe Photoshop skills
* Experience with layers, masks, actions, blending modes, and manual selections
* Experience editing real estate, architectural, interior, or similarly complex photographs
* A strong understanding of color correction and white balance
* The ability to make multiple rooms within the same property look consistent
* Careful attention to small details
* Reliable internet and a computer capable of processing large RAW and Photoshop files
* Good written English
* The ability to accept feedback and reproduce a specific editing style consistently
* The ability to work independently without passing assignments to anyone else
Experience with Adobe Lightroom, Camera Raw, Dropbox, Google Drive, and real estate delivery platforms is helpful.
What We Value
We are not simply looking for the fastest editor. We care about:
* Consistency from one image to the next
* Accurate colors
* Natural-looking windows
* Clean flash blending
* Reliability
* Honest communication
* Coachability
* Attention to detail
* A genuine interest in becoming part of one company long-term
We will provide examples, feedback, and training on our preferred style. However, applicants should already have solid Photoshop fundamentals.
Schedule and Availability
This is intended to become a full-time, long-term position. You must be consistently available during the agreed-upon working schedule and able to meet next-business-day delivery deadlines.
You may have personal projects or clients outside your scheduled working hours, but you may not perform other client work during the hours paid for by Boardwalk Media Group.
You may never delegate Boardwalk work to another editor—even if you are sick, unavailable, or experiencing a heavy workload. If a problem occurs, you must communicate directly with us so we can make other arrangements.
Hiring Process
Shortlisted applicants will complete the following process:
1. A live video interview
2. A live Photoshop screen-sharing exercise
3. A small paid take-home editing test
4. A paid probationary period with gradually increasing volume
During the interview, you will be asked to share your screen, open Photoshop, and explain your editing process. You may also be asked to show layered PSD files from previous work when permitted by your former clients.
The quality of your live editing exercise must be consistent with the quality of your portfolio and take-home test.

Please begin your application with the exact words:

Confidentiality and Personal-Work Requirement
The selected applicant will sign an agreement requiring that:
* All editing is personally performed by the hired editor
* No work is subcontracted or delegated
* Company and client files remain confidential
* Files are never shared with another person
* Company images are deleted from personal storage according to our file-retention policy
* Client names, property information, workflows, presets, and pricing remain confidential
Unauthorized sharing or subcontracting of our work will result in immediate termination.
If you are a skilled individual editor who wants consistent work, clear expectations, constructive feedback, and the opportunity to grow with an established company, we would like to hear from you.
