WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As we take on this exciting challenge, we are seeking a Real Estate Advisory Analyst to join our Advisory department. You will own the accuracy and timeliness of MLA Canada’s Metro Vancouver market database in HubSpot and our rental tracker in Excel. This is a detail-driven research and data entry role for someone with real estate industry experience; knowledge of and experience in the presale real estate market is preferred. This role reports to the Advisory Manager and collaborates with our Advisory, Sales and Marketing teams to keep the intelligence behind every MLA Canada recommendation current and reliable.
This is a full-time remote position and international candidates are welcome. Working hours are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, and teammates are expected to be available and responsive throughout those hours.
The core responsibilities for the role will be, but are not limited to:
Complete monthly HubSpot update cycles for all Metro Vancouver markets using Zonda Urban and intel gathered from MLA Canada competitive site tours and phone calls
Monitor incoming intel from teams chats and
Update the Excel rental tracker monthly by researching online rental listings in new buildings across 12 submarkets, capturing project name, developer, unit mix, sizing and pricing
Update quarterly completion statuses based on online construction updates, available rental and MLS listings, and on-the-ground research provided by the Advisory Manager
Keep data clean by following MLA Canada formats and naming conventions, cross-checking before overwriting, and flagging gaps or conflicts
Maintain MLA Canada’s Market Intelligence database so findings can be proactively input into client deliverables
Work with cross-functional teams including sales and marketing to ensure market intelligence reaches the right people at the right time
Support the Advisory department company initiatives
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
2+ years of experience in real estate (research, brokerage, development, valuation or property management)
Fluency in residential real estate concepts; knowledge of the presale market is preferred
Proven accuracy in high-volume data entry
Strong Excel skills and CRM experience (HubSpot and Zonda Urban familiarity is an asset, and we will train)
Strong written English
A personal cellphone and computer with access to reliable internet during working hours
Ability to produce results independently while maintaining a positive team environment
Self-directed and reliable on monthly cycles with minimal supervision
An amazing attention to detail with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Time management skills while working under pressure with multiple projects and timelines
APPLICATION CHALLENGE (REQUIRED)
We will send you an Excel file of our past rental research for Burnaby, BC. Find 15 to 20 current listings that are new this month (not already in the file) from purpose-built rental buildings only, with no more than 3 per building. Add them to the spreadsheet in the same format as the existing rows, with a working URL for every listing, and submit it with your application. We evaluate accuracy, working links, genuinely new listings and format match, not speed. Expect 1 to 2 hours.
