We're a video distribution agency working with US stand-up comedians. We produce short-form clips for
This is not a creative role. You're not editing and you're not giving opinions on style. You're checking work against a fixed standard and reporting what's wrong.
What you'll do:
- Review 120–200 short videos per week against a written checklist
- Catch caption errors where the text doesn't match what the comedian actually said
- Check client name spellings, thumbnail formatting, and text placement
- Report every issue with timestamps in a set format
- Approve what's clean without flagging things that are fine
What we need:
- Excellent listening comprehension in American English. Most errors are a single wrong word in a caption, the comedian says one thing, the auto-caption says another. You need to hear the difference over crowd noise.
- Extreme attention to detail. Some mistakes are one character.
- Ability to follow a checklist exactly rather than using your own judgment.
- Reliable weekly availability.
Hours and pay:
- Around 6 hours per week to start
- $10/hour to start, moving to $12/hour once you're up to speed and hitting our accuracy standard.
- Rate increases based on accuracy after the trial period
- Long-term position with more hours likely as we grow
Hiring process:
- Application
- Unpaid screening test: 20 clips, 30–45 minutes, with a full video walkthrough of the job
- Short video call
- Paid 2-week trial at full rate
- Permanent hire
To apply: Begin your message with the word ACCURACY, then answer this in one paragraph:
Tell me about the smallest mistake you've ever caught in someone else's work. Be specific about what it was.
Applications with spelling or grammar errors will not be considered. Applications that don't begin with ACCURACY will not be read.
