Remote | Devices Provided | Faith-Based Organization
We’re a growing, fully remote, faith-based software company with a close-knit
team of seven people. We build web software, Progressive Web Apps, and
streaming applications for platforms including Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist who enjoys
finding problems before customers do. You’ll test our products acrossbrowsers, mobile devices, Roku, and Fire TV, clearly document issues, and work closely with our development team to make every release dependable and easy to use.
We’re a fun, collaborative organization where your feedback will be heard and your work will have a visible impact.
## What You’ll Do
- Manually test our web software across major desktop and mobile browsers
- Test our Progressive Web App
- Test Roku and Amazon Fire TV applications on physical devices we provide
- Verify new features before they are released
- Perform regression testing to ensure updates haven’t broken existing
functionality
- Test account creation, login, subscriptions, payments, video playback,
navigation, and other customer workflows
- Test different screen sizes, internet speeds, account types, and device
configurations
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports with screenshots, videos, and step-by-
step instructions
- Confirm reported bugs have been fixed
- Create and maintain practical test plans and release checklists
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and release readiness through Slack
- Work directly with developers and leadership to improve product quality
- Help us improve our overall QA process as the company grows
## What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity about how software can
break
- Experience testing websites, web applications, mobile apps, or streaming
applications
- Comfort using Roku, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, and modern web browsers
- Ability to explain technical problems clearly and concisely
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote environment
- Dependability when testing time-sensitive releases
- A positive, collaborative attitude
- Comfort working within a faith-based organization and supporting our mission
and values
## Helpful, but Not Required
- Previous professional QA or software testing experience
- Experience testing video playback, livestreaming, subscriptions, or payment
systems
- Familiarity with browser developer tools, API testing, or application logs
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Familiarity with accessibility and usability testing
- Experience working with small or early-stage software teams
## What We Provide
- Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and any other required testing devices
- A fully remote working environment
- Direct access to the people building and managing the products
- A friendly, energetic team that values ideas and honest feedback
- The opportunity to help establish QA processes as we grow
- Meaningful work within a faith-based organization
What Success Looks Like
You consistently catch important issues before customers encounter them,
provide bug reports developers can act on immediately, and help releases reach
customers with fewer surprises. Over time, you’ll become the person our team
trusts to answer: “Is this truly ready to ship?”
## How to Apply
Please send us:
- Your résumé or a summary of your relevant experience
- A short explanation of why this role interests you
- The devices and platforms you’ve previously tested
- An example of how you would document a software bug
We’re looking for someone who takes quality seriously, communicates well, and
wants to grow alongside a small, mission-driven team.
We are not micro managers. Everyone on our team has their roles, and we trust each other as a team to complete the work and coordinate with each other. Our work culture is very important to us, meaning God 1st, family and then work.
Starting salary is negotiable.
