About Us
We're a US-based company building reliable, data-driven products. We're looking for a part-time Python developer to build and maintain the data pipelines that keep our business running. This is an ongoing opportunity for someone dependable who takes ownership of their work and communicates clearly.
What You'll Do
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines in Python
• Ingest data from APIs, databases, files, and third-party services
• Clean, validate, and transform data so it is accurate and analysis-ready
• Monitor pipelines and fix failures quickly
• Optimize pipelines for speed, reliability, and cost
• Give clear updates on progress, blockers, and results
Required Skills
• Strong Python experience, specifically for data pipelines
• English C1 or higher level
• Solid experience with pandas and SQL
• Comfort working with REST APIs and JSON/CSV data
• Familiarity with Git and version control
Nice to Have
• Workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster)
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Data warehouses such as PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
• PySpark, dbt, or Docker
• Experience with data quality checks, logging, and monitoring
Schedule and Commitment
• Part-time: about 1–2 hours per day
• Scheduled work sessions: Work happens in scheduled time slots rather than at random times, so you'll need to be reliably available when scheduled.
• Advance notice: We will always tell you at least one day ahead of a scheduled session. You'll never be asked to start on short notice.
• Ongoing work is available for the right person.
Compensation
• $15–$30/hour, based on experience and skill level
• Performance bonuses: Additional earnings are available based on your work efficiency, quality, and results. We reward developers who deliver fast, reliable work.
