Barrister Premier Properties, LLC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Property Maintenance & Field Operations Supervisor / Manager to take ownership of maintenance and field operations across our portfolio of multifamily apartments, hotels, shopping centers, commercial properties, and tenant spaces throughout the Northshore.
We are looking for someone with strong construction and property maintenance experience who can diagnose problems, determine the correct repair solution, lead a 3–4 person in-house maintenance crew, manage work orders, procure materials, and personally perform or assist with repairs when needed.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage, assign, prioritize, and track daily maintenance work orders.
-Lead, supervise, and hold accountable a 3–4 person in-house maintenance crew.
-Diagnose building, construction, and maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair solution.
-Create scopes of work, material lists, and basic material takeoffs.
-Purchase and stage materials ahead of scheduled work and respond quickly to emergency material needs.
-Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance alongside the crew when necessary.
-Conduct regular property walks and inspections to identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
-Perform tenant and resident move-out inspections and coordinate turnover work.
-Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules across the portfolio.
-Respond to emergency maintenance issues and prioritize work based on urgency, safety, property damage exposure, and operational impact.
-Track outstanding repairs and ensure work is completed properly, timely, and to company standards.
-Coordinate with outside subcontractors when work requires specialized trades or additional manpower.
-Verify completed work and maintain accountability for quality, materials, labor, and company resources.
-Take full ownership of maintenance issues from initial diagnosis through final completion.
Qualifications
-5+ years of experience in construction, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or maintenance supervision.
-Strong working knowledge of multiple trades, including:
-Carpentry and general construction
-Plumbing
-Electrical
-HVAC
-Drywall
-Painting and finishes
-Proven ability to lead and manage maintenance or construction personnel.
-Experience preparing scopes of work, material takeoffs, and purchasing materials.
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active work orders and properties simultaneously.
-Comfortable working in the field daily and performing hands-on work when required.
-Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
-Strong communication skills and professional presence when interacting with tenants, residents, vendors, subcontractors, and company personnel.

-We want someone who does not simply identify problems or pass them along. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the problem and drives it through completion.
-This position is critical to establishing and maintaining a reliable, organized, responsive, and accountable in-house property maintenance operation across the Barrister Premier Properties portfolio.
