Ultrabuild Construction Group Pty Ltd is a growing Australian construction company delivering residential, commercial and government projects throughout Victoria. We are committed to quality workmanship, strong client relationships, and delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to join our team remotely. This is a full-time position responsible for managing multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with our site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and company directors.
The successful candidate will take ownership of project planning, procurement, contract administration, scheduling and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
• Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain project programmes and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and key milestones.
• Identify risks and implement solutions to minimise project delays.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management
• Prepare and issue purchase orders.
• Engage and coordinate subcontractors.
• Monitor procurement schedules and material deliveries.
• Resolve procurement and supply issues.
Contract Administration
• Prepare subcontract agreements and project documentation.
• Manage RFIs, variations, extensions of time and contractual correspondence.
• Monitor contract compliance.
• Maintain accurate project records and registers.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project delivery.
• Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, suppliers and site supervisors.
• Attend online project meetings.
• Prepare progress reports and meeting minutes.
Financial Management
• Monitor project budgets and cost reports.
• Review supplier invoices and subcontractor claims.
• Assist with progress claims and payment schedules.
• Track project costs and forecast final project outcomes.
Project Documentation
• Maintain drawing registers and document control.
• Ensure project documentation remains current.
• Coordinate project handover documentation.
• Maintain digital project files.
Compliance & Quality
• Monitor subcontractor compliance documentation.
• Ensure project documentation complies with Australian standards and company procedures.
• Coordinate defect management and project close-out.
• Support quality assurance processes.
Closeout & Documentation
• Compile and manage closeout documents, including:
o As-Builts
o O & M Manuals
o Warranties
o Final inspections and approvals
Essential Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in construction management
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Project Manager or Project Coordinator.
• Experience managing Australian residential, commercial or government construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction contracts and project delivery.
• Experience with procurement, contract administration and subcontractor management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
