Are you looking for some part-time work (8-12 hours per week) that lets you use your organizational skills to help a growing agency run smoothly?
Aperture is hiring a part-time SEO & Marketing Project Manager.
Take advantage of an opportunity to work with our growing team in a role where you can make a real impact on how efficiently our agency operates, keeping contractors on track and deadlines on schedule.
BENEFITS:
-Pick up some extra work at a strongly hourly rate working with a positive, collaborative team.
-Make a real impact by keeping projects moving and helping the CEO / Head of Strategy stay on top of what matters each day.
-Be an early part of a growing team, with room to take on more responsibility as the company grows.
-Work in an environment that builds you up, not tears you down. We welcome questions and value clear communication.
-Open yourself to additional opportunities with other companies operated by the same person.
THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU IF:
-You're organized and detail-oriented
-You enjoy setting due dates and making sure they get met
-You’re able to show up consistently
-You're comfortable checking in daily and holding people accountable, kindly but clearly
-You're a straight shooter who isn't afraid to flag issues or ask for clarification, and you expect the same from others
-You can work independently with minimal oversight once you know the workflow
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Check in – our Basecamp (daily from 5-7 AM CST / 7-9 PM PHT, M-F):
-Monitor all tasks across Basecamp boards daily to track progress against due dates
-Follow up directly with contractors and writers on tasks in works, with an emphasis on tasks that are due within 3 days, at risk of being missed, or already overdue
-Confirm each completed task is ready for the next step in its workflow (e.g., scaffolded page → writer, written draft → review, approved content → publish)
-Flag any task that needs CEO review or sign-off before it moves forward or goes live
-Escalate blockers immediately (e.g., a writer is stuck, a VA doesn't have what they need, a task is missing scaffolding/prompts)
-Keep Basecamp boards clean and current – update task statuses, due dates, and assignees as things move
-Deliver a brief written summary to the CEO by 7:30 AM CST each weekday, covering what's on track, what's at risk, and what needs his input or approval that day
Assignments – our Basecamp (weekly on Mondays for 2-3 hours):
-Pull assignments from strategy sheets into basecamp, adding them to the correct board
-Assign items to the correct people and with the correct due dates
-Prompt team members to begin on their first step
Additional work to roll out in 1-2 months of onboarding:
-Weekly updates: use information on tasks completed and general trajectory of client projects to construct straightforward, templated weekly updates & send them to clients.
-Monthly reports: use information on work completed and information from reporting tools to build templated monthly slide decks for CEO review before sending to clients
[These items will not be immediately required, but please be aware that they will become a requirement in 1-2 months – a bit of extra bandwidth would be necessary here]
REQUIREMENTS:
-Basecamp and project management experience required
-Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
-Daily availability during specified times
-Proactive communication skills
-SEO knowledge is a plus but not strictly required
-Must disclose current workload & agree beforehand on how conflicts will be managed
