About Us

Keyla Consulting & Co (a DBA of Lifting While Climbing, LLC) is an MWBE-certified, Harlem-based consulting firm working at the intersection of workforce development, entrepreneurship support, and community engagement. Our work spans public-sector consulting, grant and proposal writing, business filings, and content and video production — all in service of lifting up the communities we come from. You'd be joining a growing multi-brand ecosystem, including Keyla Consulting & Co, Lifting While Climbing, the Black Speakers Bureau, and Visionaries of Change. Video Editor

Employment Type: Contract / Part-Time / Full-Time / Per-Project]
Location: Remote — must be available during U.S. Eastern Standard Time hours
Reports to: Keyla Marte, Principal & CEO

The Role

We produce a steady stream of video content across our brands and we need a creative, fast-turnaround Video Editor to bring it to life. You'll turn raw footage into scroll-stopping, on-brand content that grows our audience and tells our story.

What You'll Do
Edit Reels, short-form video, and long-form content across our brands
Add captions, graphics, music, transitions, and brand elements
Turn raw footage and interviews into polished, publish-ready posts
Manage export specs for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
Keep a fast, reliable turnaround on a steady content calendar
Bring ideas — hooks, pacing, and trends that make content perform

What You Bring
A strong reel or portfolio of edited video content
Proficiency in editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve)
An eye for pacing, captions, and current short-form trends
Motion graphics or thumbnail/design skills a plus
Reliability, quick turnaround, and strong English communication

Compensation & Growth
Compensation: with increases as tenure grows
Working hours: Flexible, with availability during 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
