ABOUT THE ROLE
Lorla is looking for a highly organized, detail-obsessed Project Manager to lead project execution from contract signing through final installation. This is not an administrative support role. The designer owns what we're creating; the Project Manager owns how it gets done. You will bring genuine ownership to every project you touch — anticipating problems before they surface, never letting a detail slip, and holding the broader team accountable to deadlines and commitments.
PROJECT PLANNING & SCHEDULING
Own the project schedule from kickoff through installation and closeout, setting milestones, deadlines, and dependencies.
Lead new client onboarding: send the design questionnaire and "What to Expect" documentation immediately after contract and retainer are received.
Keep projects moving proactively — anticipate issues rather than reacting to them, and escalate early when schedule, budget, or execution risks arise.
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date view of every project's status.
TEAM COORDINATION & ACCOUNTABILITY
Coordinate tasks and deadlines across designers, procurement/operations, vendors, contractors, and other project partners.
Lead weekly internal team meetings and run or prepare for project-status check-ins.
Ensure responsibilities are clearly assigned, followed through, and completed on time — holding the team accountable.
Give designers the information they need to make decisions without having to chase it down.
Lead communication with outside project partners, including general contractors and architects.
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics and project-management matters.
Lead weekly client email updates covering schedule, next steps, outstanding decisions, deliveries, and installations.
Track client approvals and decisions to keep projects on schedule.
Maintain Lorla's high-touch client experience through every operational step of a project.
BUDGET & FINANCIAL TRACKING
Maintain project budgets and monitor actual and committed spend against budget.
Flag potential overruns or scope changes early.
Coordinate proposals, deposits, invoices, change orders, and other financial milestones with the appropriate team member.
Keep project records and financial information current.
PROCUREMENT & VENDOR COORDINATION
Participate in bid-set preparation and the detailed review of labor bids, including related communications and site visits.
Lead the transition from design to procurement, including transition meetings and procurement sheets.
Oversee the purchasing timeline, ensuring approved items move promptly into procurement.
Monitor lead times, backorders, shipping, receiving, damages, replacements, and outstanding vendor issues.
Resolve procurement issues before they become installation-day emergencies.
INSTALLATION & CLOSEOUT
Lead and participate in project site visits, with particular attention to timing and logistics.
Develop and manage installation schedules, confirming products, trades, deliveries, and team readiness.
Maintain punch lists and drive outstanding items to completion.
Ensure final documentation, invoicing, photography, returns/claims, and full project closeout are completed.
Develop client goodbye packets and lead client and vendor gifting.
PROCESS & SYSTEMS
Maintain clean, accurate project information in Lorla's project-management systems.
Develop and maintain repeatable checklists, workflows, and client-facing "What to Expect" documents.
Lead updates to Lorla's operations manual and website content.
Identify recurring bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
Respond to new client inquiries in the leads inbox.
Support marketing and networking efforts as needed, including social media, events, and gifting.
TOOLS & SYSTEMS
Houzz Pro and Canva. Comfort learning and maintaining structure within project-management and design software is essential.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Fanatical attention to detail — nothing falls through the cracks, ever.
A true sense of ownership over project execution, not just task completion.
A proactive self-starter who drives projects forward and holds others accountable.
Excellent written and verbal communication, especially with high-end clientele.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Experience in interior design, architecture, or high-end residential construction project management preferred, but not required.
