Project Manager – Short-Term Rental Operations (Guesty / Airbnb / VRBO)

Location
Remote (San Diego–based company)

About Us
We are a fast-growing, high-performing short-term rental company managing 30+ premium properties across Southern California. Our operation is systems-driven, fast-paced, and guest-focused. We are seeking a highly capable Project Manager who can take ownership, communicate confidently, and help run day-to-day operations at a high level.

This role is ideal for someone who is extremely organized, proactive, tech-savvy, and comfortable speaking with guests, vendors, and internal teams. Strong spoken English and phone presence are absolutely critical.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a primary point of contact for guest communication across Airbnb, VRBO, and direct bookings
• Confidently handle phone calls with guests, vendors, and tea ---------- mbers using clear, professional English
• Manage daily operations inside Guesty, including reservations, messaging, special offers, calendar accuracy, and issue resolution
• Coordinate with cleaning, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure smooth turnovers and rapid issue resolution
• Proactively identify problems and implement solutions without needing constant direction
• Maintain and update records using Google Sheets, Excel, and internal tracking systems
• Support pricing coordination, availability accuracy, and operational workflows
• Use AI tools (including ChatGPT) to assist with research, communication drafting, and problem-solving
• Help improve systems, workflows, and internal processes as the business scales

Required Skills & Experience
• Extensive experience using Guesty & Monday Task Manager
• Strong background in short-term rental operations (Airbnb, VRBO, direct bookings)
• Excellent spoken and written English — must sound confident, professional, and natural on the phone
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort handling multiple tasks independently
• Experience using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) and Excel
• Comfortable learning new tools and systems quickly

Nice to Have
• Experience with Slack
• Experience supporting U.S.-based short-term rental portfolios
• Prior project management or operations leadership experience
