Remote Project Engineer / Coordinator – Heavy Civil Construction

We are seeking a motivated, ambitious Remote Project Engineer / Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a high-impact role that blends project engineering with business operations—giving you exposure to every phase of construction while developing leadership skills that extend beyond the jobsite. You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews from a remote setting, supporting the successful delivery of complex civil projects while gaining mentorship and growth opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Engineering & Virtual Field Support
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project controls.
Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers remotely to ensure timely and accurate execution of work.
Monitor project progress through reports, photos, and virtual updates while ensuring documentation accuracy.
Maintain and manage digital records, including daily logs, as-builts, materials tracking, and progress reporting.
Estimating, Preconstruction & Business Development
Perform quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid preparation.
Review drawings, specifications, and contracts for scope alignment and constructability.
Assist with subcontractor/vendor outreach, proposal development, and client relationship support.
Operations, Marketing & Administration
Support project accounting, contract management, compliance tracking, and payroll processes.
Contribute to recruitment efforts, onboarding programs, and professional development initiatives.
Manage digital marketing content, social media, and proposal materials to showcase company expertise.
Document project progress using photos, videos, and case studies for client and internal communications.
Who We’re Looking For
A highly organized, proactive individual eager to grow in heavy civil construction.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
0–3 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles welcome).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project management platforms (Procore, P6, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc. a plus).
Tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and able to multitask across multiple projects simultaneously.
