I'm looking for a skilled video editor to edit a batch of approximately 10–12 educational YouTube videos.
This is a project-based role with the aim of completing the videos within around one week. If we're a great fit, there may be additional projects in the future.
About the Videos
These are talking-head educational videos designed to help students learn (8-15 minutes each). The editing should be clean, professional and make the content as easy to understand as possible.
I'm looking for a modern educational style similar to creators such as Ali Abdaal - minimal, polished and focused on improving the learning experience rather than flashy effects.
What You'll Do
Edit talking-head YouTube videos
Remove mistakes, pauses and filler words (a script will be provided for ease)
Improve pacing
Add clean, professional captions
Create clear section headings
Add numbered lists and bullet points
Highlight key words and important concepts
Add simple graphics, icons or visuals where they improve understanding
Add light zooms and subtle motion where appropriate
Create YouTube chapter timestamps
Deliver polished, professional videos ready to upload
What I'm Looking For
You should have experience editing educational or talking-head YouTube videos.
Please apply with:
2–3 examples of educational or talking-head videos you've edited
Which editing software you use (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Start your application with the word ACA so I know you've read the full job description.
Project Timeline
I'm planning to record these videos over the next couple of weeks, with editing expected to begin shortly afterwards.
Please only apply if you'll be available to take on this project within the next 2–3 weeks.
Please Include
Your hourly rate
Approximately how long it would take you to edit a 10–15 minute educational YouTube video
Your availability over the next 2–3 weeks
Links to 2–3 examples of educational or talking-head videos you've edited
The shortlisted applicant(s) will complete a paid editing test once the first video has been recorded.
Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a paid editing test using a 60–90 second clip from one of my actual YouTube videos.
The successful applicant will then be given one full video as a paid trial. If we're both happy with the result, you'll be awarded the remaining videos in the project.
I'm looking for someone who communicates well, meets deadlines and enjoys creating educational content that is clean, engaging and easy to follow.
