JOB OVERVIEW

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Assistant to support Project Managers with construction documentation, plan review, submittals, RFIs, project coordination, and document control.

This is not an entry-level administrative role. The ideal candidate has extensive commercial construction experience, understands the construction process, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Plans & Bluebeam
- Review architectural, plumbing, mechanical, structural, and civil drawings.
- Review specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
- Compare drawing revisions and identify changes using Bluebeam overlays.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and drawing markups.
- Prepare sketches, exhibits, hyperlinks, and bookmarks.
- Identify potential design conflicts and constructability issues.
- Procore & Document Control
- Manage drawings, specifications, correspondence, and project documentation in Procore.
- Maintain current drawing revisions and project logs.
- Track submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and action items.
- Keep project directories and records accurate and organized.

Submittals & RFIs
- Prepare plumbing equipment submittals and assemble product data.
- Submit and track documentation through Procore or GC platforms.
- Prepare and submit RFIs in coordination with Project Managers.
- Follow up with General Contractors and design teams on outstanding items.
- Maintain complete submittal and RFI logs.
- Project Administration & Coordination
- Organize project files and maintain accurate documentation.
- Track equipment procurement and long-lead materials.
- Assist with project closeout, warranties, and O&M manuals.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Monitor deadlines and proactively escalate issues requiring management attention.

Compensation:
Competitive monthly compensation based on experience and role scope.

Monthly compensation ranges from ?32,000 – ?52,000, depending on experience and role scope. Final compensation is aligned with the candidate’s experience level.

Required Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of commercial construction experience.
- Experience with a plumbing contractor, mechanical contractor, general contractor, or engineering firm.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction drawings and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans independently.
- Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
- Working knowledge of Procore.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and document control skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated remote workspace.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date Procore project files.
- Identify drawing discrepancies before they impact construction.
- Proactively communicate deadlines, issues, and required actions.
- Provide reliable support that helps Project Managers successfully deliver commercial plumbing projects.
