Programmatic creative designer

Role Overview
We’re looking for a highly skilled Programmatic Banner Designer to create high-performing digital ad creatives across multiple programmatic platforms. This role is for a designer who understands how creative impacts performance, can adapt designs across multiple formats quickly, and knows how to build ad sets that scale across audiences, publishers, and placements.
You will work closely with media buyers, strategists, and account teams to design banners that are visually strong, brand-aligned, and conversion-focused.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Execution
Design static and animated programmatic banner ads across standard IAB sizes
Create multiple ad sets per campaign (variations by messaging, CTA, imagery, and format)
Design for performance across awareness, traffic, and conversion objectives
Adapt creatives for different placements, platforms, and audience segments
Ad Formats & Deliverables
Static banners (JPG, PNG)
Animated banners (HTML5, GIF, MP4 where applicable)
Rich media concepts (expandable, interactive, motion-based units – bonus)
Responsive and modular creative systems for scale
Common sizes include (but not limited to):
300x250, 728x90, 160x600, 300x600, 970x250, 320x50, 320x100
Campaign Collaboration
Work directly with media and strategy teams to align creative with targeting and KPIs
Implement creative feedback quickly and efficiently
Version creatives based on performance insights (CTR, engagement, conversion trends)
Maintain consistency with brand guidelines while testing new creative directions
Optimization & Iteration
Build creative variants for A/B testing (copy, color, layout, CTA, motion)
Optimize designs based on performance data and platform requirements
Ensure all creatives meet publisher and platform specs
Quality Control
Ensure all assets meet technical specs (file size, animation limits, looping rules)
QA creatives before launch across devices and browsers
Organize and deliver final assets clearly and on deadline
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience designing programmatic or digital display ads
Strong portfolio showcasing banner ads and multi-format ad sets
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
Experience with HTML5 tools (Google Web Designer preferred)
Strong understanding of performance-driven design
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)
Experience designing for DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, StackAdapt, or similar
Knowledge of rich media and interactive ad units
Understanding of media KPIs (CTR, CPM, CPC, engagement)
Experience working in agency or fast-paced campaign environments
