Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Video Editor to join our team. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, and you must be the sole editor performing the work. We are not interested in working with editing companies or individuals who delegate tasks to other editors. We are soon to have 100's of videos that will need editing, so we are rapidly looking for new colleagues to join us.
Responsibilities:
• Edit video content according to project specifications, guidelines, and checklists.
• Ensure high attention to detail in all edits to maintain quality and consistency.
• Meet project deadlines consistently.
• Communicate effectively with the team and participate in a weekly editor meeting.
• Incorporate feedback from the team to refine and improve video content.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. (Note: This is mandatory.)
• Availability to work 40 hours per week.
• Must be the sole editor performing the work.
• Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to join a weekly editor meeting and possibly additional meetings from time-to-time.
Technical Requirements:
• Most edits will require inserting text on-screen in a seamless way (including transitions & sound effects)
• Ability to read and follow a script and be thoughtful about the b-roll that is selected for the edit. B-roll must be relevant to the content.
• As mentioned above, preferably proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Must be a very creative editor and have fun with the edits! This will shine through to our hundreds of clients and create a more immersive experience for them.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with various types of video content (e.g., promotional, instructional, social media, etc.).
• Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
