JOB OVERVIEW

Compensation: Paid per task

Let’s be direct.
This role exists to find products that sell. Not ideas. Not trends for fun. Winners.

If you like guessing, this is not the job. If you like evidence, keep reading.

The Mission
You identify products with real demand, clear positioning, and pricing that fits a structured store. Your work feeds the entire pipeline. Bad research poisons everything downstream.

What You Will Do
• Research products for ecommerce stores
• Validate demand using platform-native signals
• Identify clear product angles and use cases
• Analyze pricing logic and margin viability
• Flag saturation, gimmicks, and weak offers
• Organize findings cleanly for handoff to the team

Research Standards (Non-Negotiable)
• Products must fit defined pricing tiers:
– Low budget
– Mid quality
– Upscale
• No random pricing logic
• No novelty junk
• No trend chasing without proof
• Products must support clean branding and ad testing

What “Done” Looks Like
Each task delivers:
• 3–5 vetted product candidates
• Clear reason each product should sell
• Target price range and positioning tier
• Notes on audience, pain point, and angle
• Links and reference sources
• Clean formatting. No clutter.

Pay Structure
• Paid per completed research task
• Consistent work if output is usable
• Accuracy and judgment matter more than speed

Requirements
• Proven product research experience
• Strong pattern recognition
• Understands ecommerce fundamentals and margins
• Comfortable saying “this won’t work”
• Clear written communication
• Reliable availability

You’ll Do Well Here If
• You eliminate bad products fast
• You think in systems, not trends
• You understand that most products fail
• You don’t get emotionally attached to ideas

How to Apply
Send:
1. A brief summary of your product research experience
2. One example of a product you would reject and why
3. Your availability

All products will go through management.
