JOB OVERVIEW

We’re building a new clothing brand and looking for a highly resourceful Product Operator / Buyer to work directly with the founder.

This is NOT a typical Virtual Assistant role.

We need someone who gets things done.

Someone who can take an idea, figure out what needs to happen, find the right suppliers, ask the right questions, organize everything, follow up relentlessly, and move the product forward.

You will be the link between us and our factories.

What you’ll own

Your main goal is simple: help us turn product ideas into great physical products.

You will:

* Source clothing manufacturers on Alibaba and other platforms
* Contact MANY factories, not just 2–3
* Find the best balance between quality, price, MOQ and lead time
* Request and compare quotations
* Negotiate prices, MOQs and sampling costs
* Order and manage samples
* Handle daily back-and-forth with factories
* Follow up until things actually get done
* Coordinate sample V1 → feedback → V2 → final approval
* Help source fabrics, trims, labels, packaging and other components
* Keep product development organized in Notion
* Track costs, deadlines, payments, samples and shipments
* Identify problems before they become problems
* Find alternative suppliers when necessary
* Present options clearly so we can make decisions quickly

You don't need to wait for instructions for every small task.

If a supplier isn't responding, you follow up or find another one.
If a price is too high, you negotiate and look for alternatives.
If you don't know something, you research it and figure it out.

Experience in fashion, clothing manufacturing, product development, sourcing, buying or supply chain is a big plus.

Experience buying directly from Chinese manufacturers is an even bigger plus.

What we DON'T want

We don't want someone who needs a detailed SOP for every single task.
We don't want someone who sends one message to a supplier and waits 3 days.
We don't want someone who only executes tasks.
We're looking for an operator, someone who takes ownership and finds a way to get the result.
