ABOUT THE ROLE
The Product & Compliance Associate is a dual-focused role, responsible for ensuring product and marketing compliance while supporting evidence-based product marketing initiatives. This position is 75% compliance-focused and 25% product marketing-focused, bridging regulatory requirements with actionable insights to optimize product positioning and marketing strategies.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure products meet regulatory requirements in all target markets and comply with global ingredient standards (FDA, EWG, CIR, CSCP, Prop 65, UK/EU).
- Manage product registrations (e.g., US FDA, WercSmart) and maintain all compliance documentation, including labels, packaging, ingredient lists, claims, and submissions.
- Coordinate safety and quality testing with third-party partners (e.g., HRIPT, heavy metals, certifications).
- Monitor regulatory and labeling changes and recommend updates; ensure components follow approved artwork and compliance requirements with Supply Chain.
- Research regulatory needs for new market entry and expansion.
- Review listings and artworks to ensure claim and messaging compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and certifications.
- Support internal teams with compliance inquiries and prepare documentation for audits.
- Provide documentation for retailer compliance requirements and support Customer Service with product information.
Product Marketing & Research
- Lead marketing research for positioning, competitive analysis, and consumer insights.
- Conduct evidence-based internal assessments for claim validation.
- Partner with third-party agencies for claim substantiation and research.
- Translate customer feedback and market trends into actionable recommendations.
- Ensure all marketing claims are evidence-based and compliant.
- Assist in creating accurate, compelling, and compliant marketing content.
