We are seeking a Private Equity Analyst to join our growing team. This is a long-term role with meaningful responsibility, significant exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to help shape the firm from its earliest stages.
Key Responsibilities
• Deal Sourcing & Company Identification
- Build targeted lists of potential acquisition candidates using criteria such as industry, geography, size, ownership, service offerings, and business model characteristics.
- Apply judgment to assess whether companies fit Duration Group’s investment criteria.
- Leverage software tools such as Grata, SourceScrub, & ZoomInfo to find and verify contact information for target company executives
• Industry & Market Research
- Conduct research on sectors within essential services, industrials, and consumer services.
- Size markets, analyze industry structures, and identify long-term trends.
• Target Company Analysis
- Map customer bases, value chains, and competitive landscapes.
- Summarize findings in clear, concise memos and spreadsheets.
• Pipeline Support
- Maintain organized sourcing pipelines and databases.
- Assist with outreach preparation when needed.
Tools & Platforms
Analysts will regularly work with:
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Grata, SourceScrub, and ZoomInfo
Prior experience with these platforms is not required but is a significant plus. Training will be provided.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong research skills and the ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
• Clear written communication and the ability to summarize insights logically.
• Comfort working with spreadsheets, online research tools, and databases.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
• Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a long-term mindset.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Prior private equity, investment banking, consulting, or deal sourcing experience is not required, but a plus.
