JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary

We are looking for a Meme Editor with strong knowledge of Pokémon and Harry Potter and a deep understanding of current fandom and meme culture. The ideal candidate can quickly identify trending moments, storylines, characters, and meme opportunities and turn them into engaging content for our audience.

This role requires someone who is fast, creative, reliable, and comfortable working around trending topics and fandom conversations, including nights and weekends.

Duties
-Create original and engaging Pokémon and Harry Potter memes for social media.
-Monitor Pokémon and Harry Potter news, social media, fan communities, and trending conversations for timely content opportunities.
-Develop meme concepts around current Pokémon and Harry Potter storylines, events, characters, releases, and trending conversations.
-Adapt current meme formats and templates to Pokémon and Harry Potter-related topics.
-Work closely with editors and team leads to refine content based on feedback.
-Maintain a consistent content output during assigned shifts.

Basic Qualifications
-Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Pokémon and Harry Potter, including characters, storylines, lore, relationships, rivalries, releases, and current fan discussions.
-Strong understanding of Pokémon and Harry Potter meme culture and what fandom audiences currently find funny and engaging.
-Familiarity with trends and meme formats on X/Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
-Excellent reaction time and the ability to identify and act on content opportunities quickly.
-Able to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions, especially when topics are trending or generating high engagement.
-Reliable and able to work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends.
-Open to constructive criticism and willing to make changes based on feedback.
-Strong sense of humor, creativity, and awareness of current internet and fandom culture.
-Previous experience creating memes or social media content is preferred.
