JOB OVERVIEW

Remote Podcast Show Notes Writer (PART-TIME, with potential to grow)

The Good in Media – Podcast Production Agency
Are you an exceptional writer with a marketer’s brain and a standard for your work that most people simply don’t understand?

Do you know how to turn content into something people have to click?

We’re The Good in Media, a podcast production agency that helps (mostly women-led) personal brands and entrepreneurs turn their message into magnetic, binge-worthy content that actually grows their brand. And while great editing matters, what gets someone to press play… is the packaging.

The titles.
The positioning.
The way the episode is presented.
That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Show Notes Writer who understands that every single word we publish is marketing. This role is not just about summarizing episodes. It’s about selling the value of the episode, attracting the right audience, and turning listeners into clients.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Show Notes Writer at The Good in Media, you will play a critical role in how our clients’ content performs.
For each episode, you’ll be responsible for:
Writing 3 audio title options designed to drive clicks on podcast platforms
Writing 3 YouTube title options optimized for curiosity and conversion
Writing 3 YouTube thumbnail text options that stop the scroll
Creating high-converting show notes that “sell” the episode and make people want to listen
Including SEO-informed keywords (with light research and/or AI support)
Writing timestamps for key ---------- nts in the episode
Linking all resources, social accounts, and relevant mentions
Including clear, strategic CTA’s aligned with what the client is promoting
This is a conversion-first writing role, not just informational writing. Your work should make the right person feel like they need to click and listen.

Quality Control (This Is Important):
You will also serve as a key part of our quality assurance process.
This means you will:
Listen to the entire podcast episode
Review the final edited video
Catch:
Missed edits
Audio issues
Visual inconsistencies
Awkward phrasing or anything that lowers the perceived quality
We do not ship content that feels sloppy. You are one of the final lines of defense.

This Role Is For You If You:
Are a strong writer with a natural instinct for what makes people click
Understand copywriting fundamentals (hooks, curiosity, clarity, positioning)
Can write in a way that feels like the voice of the podcast host (not your own)
Have experience listening to podcasts and understand the space
Are comfortable using AI tools to increase output and improve SEO without sacrificing quality
Care deeply about the details and take pride in producing top-tier work every time
Are a self-starter, reliable, and can manage deadlines independently
Have excellent written English and understand the nuances of U.S. communication
Genuinely want to be the best at what you do, not just “good enough”

Bonus Points If You:
Have experience with personal brands, coaches, or online business content
Understand sales psychology and audience behavior
Have experience with email marketing or conversion-based writing

Tools & Tech You’ll Use:
Google Docs / Google Drive
Slack
Asana
AI tools (ChatGPT or similar for support, not replacement)

Position Details:
Part-Time (Remote)
Starting at approximately 5 episodes per week
24–48 hour turnaround time per episode
Must have some overlap with U.S. business hours (Eastern Time preferred)
Long-term opportunity with room to grow inside the agency

Why This Role Matters:
Our clients are not creating content just to “be consistent.”
They are building brands.
They are generating leads.
They are selling offers.
And the difference between an episode that gets ignored and one that drives real results often comes down to:
The title
The positioning
The way it’s presented
=
That’s your work.
We’re looking for A players only. Writers who think like marketers. People who obsess over how something performs, not just how it reads.

To Apply:

Email
the CEO, Brianne, at ---------- with:
Your resume
2–3 writing samples (show notes, emails, captions, or anything conversion-focused)
A short note telling us why you’re the perfect fit for this role (show us your personality)

Optional but encouraged:
Include 1–2 example podcast titles + a short show notes sample for an episode you’ve listened to

This is your chance to help shape how powerful voices show up in the world—and to turn content into something that actually drives growth.

We can’t wait to meet you.
