JOB OVERVIEW

THE HONEST SITUATION

I host a podcast called Process Over Pressure. It gives a voice to founders and operators who hit real failure and built something better out of it. No polished highlight reels. The conversations are good. Guests tell me things they do not tell other people.

Here is the part most job posts leave out.

We have 40+ published episodes, a live website at ---------- , and a YouTube channel with 14 subscribers. Most episodes have under 30 views. The show is real and almost nobody is listening to it yet.

That is not a content problem. It is a nobody-is-driving problem. I have been hosting and hoping, and hoping is not a distribution strategy.

I am looking for one person to take the whole thing over and fix that.

------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT I ACTUALLY WANT

I want you to RUN this show, not assist me with it.

I do not want to hand you a checklist. I want to hand you the keys, tell you what the show is about, and have you come back to me with where we should be publishing, what we should be testing, and which guests are worth having on.

Specifically, I want someone who will:

- Look at the channel and tell me what is wrong with it before I ask
- Have an opinion about which platforms we are not on and should be
- Turn down a guest without checking with me first
- Bring me an idea I did not think of, roughly once a week
- Tell me when something I want to do is a bad idea

If reading that makes you want the job, keep going. If it makes you nervous, this is not the right fit, and that is okay.

------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT YOU OWN

GUESTS
Work PodMatch actively: search, pitch, and respond to inbound requests. Screen everyone against our guest criteria. Decline the wrong fits yourself. Own the guest inbox, the follow-ups, and the Calendly scheduling. Keep the pipeline full so we are never scrambling for next week.

PUBLISHING
Riverside recordings through to live. Buzzsprout: upload, tag, schedule, keep the feed clean across Spotify, Apple, and everywhere it syndicates. Titles, show notes, descriptions. YouTube. Episode pages on the website.

GROWTH AND DISTRIBUTION
This is the part I care most about. Subscribers, downloads, watch time. Where we post, what format, how often, what gets tested next. You own the number and the plan behind it.

EDITING AND YOUR TEAM
You will have an editor working under you, who also handles social posting. You set the brief and the standard, they execute. Your time goes to guests, growth, and distribution.

Tell me in your application how you like to work with an editor, and whether there is anything you would rather cut yourself.

------------------------------------------------------------

YOUR FIRST 30 DAYS

I want two things from you in month one.

1. AN AUDIT. What is broken with the channel, the feed, the back catalog, and the guest pipeline. The blunt version.

2. A PLAN. Where we should be publishing that we are not, what you would test first, and what number you think is realistic in 90 days.

Not my plan with your name on it. Yours.

------------------------------------------------------------

PAY

I have not set a rate. Tell me what you charge and I will tell you if we are close. If you are the right person, I will pay for the right person.

On top of whatever we agree on, there are bonuses:

- $150 every time we clear a subscriber gate: 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000. Paid once per gate, when we hit it and hold it for 30 days.
- $150 when we land our first paid sponsor.
- 10% of gross sponsorship revenue on every sponsor you bring in, paid monthly for as long as that sponsor keeps paying and you are still running the show. No cap. 5% on sponsors I bring in myself.

Bonuses are paid on real audience only. Subscribers have to come with watch time growing alongside them. Purchased or incentivized subscribers void the bonus, and I do check the analytics.

------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE

- Fluent, natural, professional written English. You will be writing to founders and CEOs in my voice. This is the first thing I screen for and there is no flexibility on it.
- Experienced running a show, not just editing one. Tell me which one and what you actually owned.
- Opinionated. I want to be argued with occasionally.
- Organized enough that I never have to chase you.

TOOLS
Required: PodMatch, Buzzsprout, Riverside.fm, Calendly, Google Workspace, Canva
Helpful: YouTube Studio, Descript, Premiere Pro or CapCut, LinkedIn

WHAT THIS JOB IS NOT
- Not a task-list VA role. Nobody will hand you a checklist every morning.
- Not an editing job. You have an editor for that.
- Not a place to park while you juggle five other clients.

------------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO APPLY

I read the applications that follow these steps. I skip the ones that do not.

1. Put PROCESS OVER PRESSURE at the top of your message so I know you read this.

2. Name one podcast you have run and what you specifically owned on it. Include the link. If you cite growth numbers, tell me how you know that growth came from your work. I check.

3. Answer in three to five sentences: A guest applies through PodMatch. Business coach, decent following, polished pitch, no real story of failure. What do you do, and what do you write back to them?

4. Look at the YouTube channel ---------- and ---------- . Tell me the single biggest reason you think nobody is watching, and the first thing you would change. Be blunt. A compliment here gets you skipped.

5. Tell me your monthly rate and how many hours a week you think this role actually takes.

6. Include a two minute unscripted voice or video recording introducing yourself.

Finalists do a small paid trial project before I make an offer.
