JOB OVERVIEW

YOU
Do you watch a 60-minute conversation and instinctively know where the story is? Which ---------- nt is the hook, where it drags, what to cut and what to leave breathing? Are you a podcast editor/manager who thinks like a journalist or a director first, and reach for the editing tools second? Then read on.
This is a podcast role for someone with editorial judgment who is fluent with the software. If your instinct when handed footage is to shape the narrative rather than decorate it, we should talk.
WHO WE ARE
We're an Amsterdam based content marketing agency. Backed by 20 years of editorial experience, we provide high-quality storytelling for cutting-edge companies and entrepreneurs, across a range of subjects — whether it's about technical fabrics, personal growth and meditation, female leadership, b2b cosmetics or sustainability in fashion.
Our view on our services as well as our clients is simple: substance matters. Our strength lies in connecting people through meaningful narrative and integrating this across all relevant communication platforms.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A podcast editor (audio and video) with the experience of a journalist or director. Someone who understands narrative and can make a long-form conversation feel natural, warm and alive, without over-producing it. You'll work on interview-style podcast episodes and solo spoken podcasts.
Concretely, you can:
Watch a full conversation and find the thread. You proactively propose the storyline, the hook, the structure.
Identify the strongest emotional or catchy ---------- nt and build an opening hook (~40 seconds) that makes people stay.
Cut and reframe to hold attention — clean speaker-based framing, single-person and two-person shots switched to match the energy of the exchange.
Keep it restrained. Preserve pauses. Let the conversation carry the piece. Know when not to cut.
Hold a consistent visual identity across episodes based on a visual identity.
Produce polished captions and social cut-downs for Instagram Reels and LinkedIn.
Add light motion graphics where they serve the story. It doesn't need to be grand. Canva, CapCut and AI tools are all fine, as long as the result looks polished, purposeful and intentional.
Work AI-first: let AI tools carry the bulk of the load, then finesse with your own eye and sensibility so the final product feels crafted, not automated.
Support content makers with input reg. how to improve.
ABOUT YOU
You have real editorial background in journalism, documentary, film, or story-led content editing.
You have a portfolio or showreel that demonstrates your storytelling.
You're comfortable with a modern AI-assisted workflow, and you use it to go faster without letting the work feel generic.
Your taste shows up in restraint as much as in what you add.
Your communication is on point. You can confidently pitch a treatment, take feedback constructively, and collaborate closely with our producer.
You're proactive, reliable, and able to work efficiently.
THE DETAILS
The position is freelance / part-time, hours to be discussed based on episode volume. Remote-friendly, with a preference for someone who can occasionally connect in or around Amsterdam.
INTERESTED?
Please share your online portfolio or showreel, along with a compact note. We'd especially appreciate one short example of an episode, film, or piece where you found the story, what the raw material was, and what you did to shape it. That tells us more than any tool list.
