JOB OVERVIEW

A growing U.S. based consulting and media company is looking for a reliable, detail oriented Podcast & Content Operations Assistant to help manage the content side of the business and podcast.

This role is a good fit for someone who is strong in video editing, content repurposing, research, organization, and written communication. I am looking for someone who can take ownership of recurring tasks, think through problems independently, and help create systems that make the content process more efficient.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Edit full podcast episodes for YouTube and other platforms
Create short form clips from podcast episodes
Add captions, clean cuts, and simple branding
Repurpose podcast content into multiple pieces of content
Upload and schedule podcast episodes and clips
Prepare episode titles, descriptions, and captions
Maintain the podcast and content calendar
Organize podcast recordings, clips, scripts, graphics, and guest assets
Research upcoming podcast guests
Prepare guest research briefs before interviews
Draft podcast interview questions and first draft interview scripts based on the guest and our established format
Identify strong hooks, accomplishments, business milestones, and conversation angles from guest research
Help prepare simple thumbnails or supporting graphics when needed
Track what has been recorded, edited, approved, scheduled, and published
Make sure content is posted correctly and on schedule
Identify opportunities to improve or simplify the content workflow
What This Role Does Not Include

You will not be responsible for cold email prospecting or managing cold email campaigns.

A separate team member will handle guest outreach, replies, qualification, booking, and scheduling.

Once a guest is confirmed, you will help prepare everything needed for the interview and manage the content process after the recording.

Has experience editing video content
Is comfortable creating short form clips
Has strong written English
Can conduct online research and summarize information clearly
Is organized and detail oriented
Can follow instructions carefully
Can manage recurring workflows without constant reminders
Can notice when something is missing or not working and take initiative
Is comfortable learning new tools and systems
Can work independently and ask smart questions when necessary
Understands that speed and responsiveness matter
Takes ownership of getting tasks fully completed, not just partially done

Experience with podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, CapCut, Descript, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools is helpful.

You do not need experience with every platform or tool listed above. I care more about your ability to learn, think, communicate, and produce quality work consistently.

Hours

This will begin as a part time role with the opportunity to grow as the business and podcast grow.

You should have reliable weekday availability and be able to complete time sensitive content tasks when needed.

About the Role

Hours: 10 hours per week to start
Pay: $3 USD per hour
