JOB OVERVIEW

THE ROLE

I run a content production company shooting editorial and brand work in Manila. I'm looking for a shooter with real craft — someone who creates images, not someone who documents them.

This role covers stills, motion, or both. If you're strong in one and competent in the other, apply. If you're exceptional at one only, still apply and say so.

Ongoing paid shoots for the right person. Next production is at the end of August in Pasay.

WHAT YOU'D BE SHOOTING

Editorial and campaign work — portrait, fashion, lingerie, swimwear, glamour. Full production days with multiple models, multiple looks, styled sets. Plus motion: trailers, brand pieces, behind-the-scenes, short-form vertical.

MUST HAVE — STILLS

Professional editorial experience: portrait, fashion, lingerie, swimwear, or campaign
Proficient on full frame — Sony systems or equivalent
You own and can shape light. Strobes, modifiers, and the ability to build a look in a location that gives you nothing

MUST HAVE — MOTION

Cinematic camera work. Not event coverage. Not run-and-gun documentation
4K-capable bodies
You understand movement, framing, and pacing — and you can cut for both vertical short-form and long-form

MUST HAVE — BOTH

ARTISTRY. You use the environment — light, architecture, shadow, texture, reflection, negative space — as part of the composition, not as a backdrop. I want images that could not have been taken anywhere else.
Your own equipment. Bodies, glass, lighting, support
Based in or able to travel to Metro Manila
Available for full production days
Professional conduct on a set with models — this is non-negotiable

HOW TO APPLY — READ THIS

Then answer these directly:

1. Send me three pieces of your work — stills or motion — where the location or the light is doing real work in the image. Not a good-looking subject on a clean background. Tell me in one line what you did to get each one.

Also include:

Your equipment list — bodies, lenses, lighting, modifiers, support
Whether you work with an assistant, and whether they'd come with you
Where you're based and your availability for late-August shoot dates

Paid test shoot for shortlisted applicants. Ongoing work for the right person.
MUST HAVE

1. PORTFOLIO
Links to your work. Editorial and portrait specifically. Include
at least one full set from a single shoot so we can see
consistency, not just your best 5 frames

2. YOUR EYE
Pick one image from your portfolio and tell us what you did to
make it — the location, the light, the decision you made that
another photographer would have missed

3. EQUIPMENT LIST
- Camera bodies (state full frame or crop, and 4K capability)
- Lenses
- Lighting system — brand, model, how many units, modifiers
- Do you own this gear, or do you rent it?
- Do you have backup bodies and cards?

4. HOW YOU WORK
- Do you require an assistant? If yes, do you bring your own?
- How many looks can you shoot in a full day?
- Do you shoot tethered?
- How many final edited images do you deliver per shoot day?
- What is your turnaround from shoot to delivery?
- Do you also shoot video?
