JOB OVERVIEW

I'm conducting market research on artificial turf installation business in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area and need a VA to make 80-100 phone calls to local turf/landscaping companies.

Your role: Call companies and inquire about services and pricing. Through natural conversation, you'll gather key information about each company (availability, pricing, licensing, service area). This is NOT sales — you're simply having conversations and collecting data.
Note: Some companies on the list are suppliers (sell turf but don't install). For those, you'll just ask about material pricing and move on quickly.

What You'll Be Doing:
Task 1: Customer Inquiry Calls (80-100 calls)

- Call artificial turf companies from a list I'll provide
- First, determine if they do installations or are just a supplier
For INSTALLERS: Ask about availability, pricing, service area, and licensing as a customer would
For SUPPLIERS: Quick call to get material pricing, then move on
- Log all responses in a Google Sheet I'll provide
- Flag high-priority companies based on criteria I'll give you

Task 2: Subcontractor Outreach (15-20 contacts)
- Search Craigslist, Facebook Groups, and Indeed for independent turf installers in Phoenix
- Reach out to see if they're interested in subcontract work
- Gather info on their experience, equipment, insurance, and rates
- Log everything in a separate sheet

Deliverables:
- Completed Google Sheet with data from all calls
- Priority list of top 10-15 companies worth following up with
- List of 10-15 potential subcontractors

Project Details:

- Working style: Independent — I'll provide detailed scripts and briefing docs, you execute

What I'll Provide:
- List of companies to call with phone numbers
- Detailed briefing document
- Call scripts and suggested phrases (not word-for-word, just guidance)
- Google Sheet template for logging everything
- Support via text/phone if you have questions

Ideal Candidate:
- Clear, natural English speaking voice (slight accent is fine)
- Experience with phone-based research or cold calling
- Comfortable having casual conversations (not robotic script-reading)
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Available to work during US business hours (Arizona is MST, no daylight saving)
