Position Overview
The Veterinary Education & Outreach Veterinarian helps translate veterinary knowledge into clear, accessible educational content for pet owners while supporting the clinic’s online presence and community outreach. This role manages the clinic’s social media engagement, answers general pet health questions, and promotes Dr. Smith and the clinic’s services through educational content.

The veterinarian will interact with followers by providing general veterinary guidance, sharing educational insights, and helping improve public understanding of veterinary medicine.

This position may be performed remotely; however, the veterinarian must be available during clinic hours from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST to support online engagement and collaborate with the clinical team.

The veterinarian will also work closely with Dr. Ani to learn aspects of clinical workflow, including documentation, scribing, and reviewing lab reports. This collaboration helps ensure accurate communication of veterinary topics while supporting the clinic’s commitment to high-quality patient care.

This role is designed for a veterinarian who enjoys education, outreach, and public communication while remaining connected to clinical veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

* Manage the clinic’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
* Create and schedule engaging educational and promotional content.
* Monitor social media activity and respond to comments and messages professionally.

Community Engagement & Education

* Answer general pet health questions from followers and clients online.
* Provide educational guidance while directing owners to schedule appointments when medical care is needed.
* Maintain a professional, compassionate, and informative tone in online interactions.
* Provide general educational information only; online interactions do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment.

Marketing & Brand Promotion

* Promote Dr. Smith’s expertise and the clinic’s services through educational and marketing content.
* Create or assist in developing content (videos, posts, and educational materials) focused on patient care, preventative medicine, and veterinary education.
* Support growth of the clinic’s online presence and reputation in the community.

Clinical Learning & Support

* Train alongside Dr. Ani to understand clinic workflows and medical philosophy.
* Assist with scribing during appointments when needed.
* Help review and communicate lab results and support clinical documentation.

Required Qualifications

* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent).
* Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure.
* Strong communication and writing skills; fluent in English.
* Ability to clearly explain veterinary topics to pet owners.
* Ability to work remotely while maintaining availability during clinic hours (**8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST**).

Preferred Skills

* Experience with social media, digital content creation, or online education.
* Comfortable appearing in videos or educational media.
* Interest in veterinary education, public communication, and outreach.
