## Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Virtual Assistant to assist with medical records, medical billing requests, Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims, and general case management support for our personal injury practice.
The ideal candidate has previous experience working for a U.S. personal injury law firm and understands the importance of accuracy, organization, professionalism, and excellent client service.
## Primary Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Request medical records from hospitals, physicians, physical therapy offices, chiropractors, imaging centers, and other healthcare providers.
* Request itemized medical bills and balances.
* Follow up consistently with providers until complete records and bills are received.
* Track all outstanding requests and maintain organized follow-up schedules.
* Assist with Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims, applications, and related communications.
* Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies by phone and
* Upload, organize, and manage documents within our case management system.
* Maintain detailed and accurate case notes.
* Review records to ensure they are complete and identify missing documents.
* Prepare letters,
* Send and receive faxes.
* Assist attorneys and staff with additional administrative tasks as needed.
## Minimum Qualifications
Applicants **must have at least one year of experience working for a U.S. personal injury law firm.**
You should have prior experience with:
* Requesting medical records.
* Requesting medical bills.
* Following up with medical providers.
* Handling Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims or applications.
* Communicating with insurance companies.
* Speaking professionally with clients.
* Managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
* Working independently while maintaining accuracy.
## Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is preferred:
* Experience using **CasePeer** (strongly preferred but not required).
* Experience with other personal injury case management software.
* Familiarity with HIPAA authorizations and medical record requests.
* Experience working on pre-litigation personal injury files.
* Understanding of medical billing, health insurance, or liens is a plus.
