We are seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Case Manager that also speaks SPANISH to join our growing personal injury team. The Case Manager will be responsible for handling a caseload of pre-litigation files from intake through settlement or trial support. This role is central to ensuring that each client’s case progresses smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with California legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Intake & Client Onboarding
Conduct initial intake calls with potential clients at any time
Explain the representation process, gather facts, and assess case viability
Ensure all necessary intake forms, authorizations, and documents are completed
Open and set up new case files in case management system
File & Case Management
Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout the life of the case
Maintain organized and up-to-date digital files using firm case management software
Track all case deadlines, SOLs, medical treatment status, lien info, and key events
Draft letters of representation and send to insurance companies, employers, and medical providers
Coordinate communications with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties
Medical & Records Management
Assist clients in locating appropriate medical providers
Monitor medical treatment and keep detailed notes of client progress
Request and follow up on medical records and bills
Organize medical records chronologically and summarize treatment history
Track and negotiate medical liens (e.g., MedPay, health insurance, hospital liens, third-party)
Insurance & Settlement Support
Submit demands with supporting documentation under attorney supervision
Track offers, counteroffers, and communicate updates to clients
Prepare case summaries for settlement negotiations
Draft settlement memos, disbursement breakdowns, and closing documentation
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury law (case manager, paralegal, or similar role)
Knowledge of California personal injury laws and procedures
Strong understanding of medical terminology and records
Excellent communication and client service skills
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Proficiency in legal case management software (e.g., Filevine)
Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus
Familiarity with pre-litigation and litigation processes
