**NOTE: MINIMUM 2 YEARS CALIFORNIA PERSONAL INJURY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. JD/LEGAL LICENSE PREFERRED**
About Us
We are a boutique, plaintiff-side personal injury litigation firm based in California, taking on personal injury cases because we believe injured people deserve skilled, tenacious representation. We are a focused, fast-moving firm that handles complex cases with care and strategic discipline. We are looking for an experienced paralegal who shares that commitment and is ready to own their caseload from day one – not just support it.
Our Values: Genuine Integrity · Client-First Focus · Relentless Advocacy · Accountability · Continuous Growth · Mutual Respect · Results That Matter
The Role
This is a fully remote, full-cycle litigation paralegal position for someone who thrives in a high-volume plaintiff personal injury environment and doesn't need to be managed to get things done. You will independently drive litigation cases from filing suit through resolution across a substantial active docket including: propounding and responding to discovery, drafting mediation briefs, and coordinating all aspects of case progression. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in ownership, follow-through, and work done well.
**This is not a support role.** We are looking for someone who can run cases independently, A – Z.
Responsibilities
• Independently manage a high-volume active caseload across all stages of the litigation lifecycle, while prioritizing competing deadlines across multiple active matters
• Drive case progression proactively – identifying what needs to happen next and executing without prompting
• Draft a wide range of litigation documents, including complaints, discovery responses, pleadings, memoranda, and affidavits – using AI tools to accelerate drafting and research while maintaining rigorous accuracy
• Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and genuine empathy throughout their case
• Manage and maintain the firm's electronic case file system with precision
• Review and finalize drafts for accuracy, formatting, and completeness
• Manage attorney calendars, including court appearances, filing deadlines, and case milestones
• Prepare and coordinate notices, deposition scheduling, and service of subpoenas
• Support fact investigation and case development efforts across the litigation team
• Flag issues, deadlines, and case developments proactively – communicate early, not after the fact
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and use technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality
What We're Looking For
• At least 2 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience, working on California state cases
• JD/Legal License preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume litigation caseload independently with minimal supervision
• Strong legal drafting skills across a range of document types
• Strong command of California civil discovery practice end to end
• Experience with Clio preferred; proficiency with legal technology platforms required
• Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to support drafting, research, and case management – and good judgment about when to rely on them and when not to
• Resourceful, self-directed, and able to independently manage a high caseload without close supervision
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort with legal technology platforms
• Sound judgment in time-sensitive or high-stakes situations
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline
• Exceptional follow-through – if you commit to something, it gets done
• Thorough knowledge of California court rules, filing procedures, and e-filing requirements
• Discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Composure and professionalism under pressure
• Genuine curiosity and commitment to ongoing professional development
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, though not required
