We're an established Australian DTC brand running paid social at scale. We're looking for one video editor to become our go-to person for Meta ad creative, someone we can push hard, who turns work around fast, and who understands that an ad is a performance asset, not a showreel piece.
What you'll actually be doing"
Cutting Meta/Instagram ad creative from our raw footage, product, lifestyle, UGC, studio
Producing multiple hook variations, lengths and aspect ratios from the same source material (9:16, 4:5, 1:1)
Building video assets from static images alone — motion, pacing, transitions, kinetic type, when there's no footage to work with.
Iterating fast on winners: new hooks, new openers, new end cards, new angles on an ad that's already performing. (these provided by our team)
Working inside our brand guidelines: our fonts, our colour palette, our tone, without needing to be re-briefed every time
Turning briefs around in 24–48 hours, and short-notice single assets faster than that.
What we need you to already know:
How Meta's algorithm actually behaves in 2026: creative volume, testing structures, why the first two seconds d
The difference between a beautiful video and one that converts, and why they're often not the same video/
Current formats and trends on Meta and TikTok, and how to use them without making our brand look like it's chasing them
Real design fundamentals: typography, hierarchy, colour, composition, motion. We want someone with taste, who can be trusted with our brand.
Captioning, sound design, licensed/royalty-free music, safe zones and platform specs.
Non-negotiables
Extreme speed without a drop in quality. If a two-day turnaround on a batch is a stretch for you, this isn't the role.
Availability to take on extra volume at short notice.
Fluent written English and same-day communication on weekdays (we're in Brisbane, AEST — significant overlap required, not full alignment).
You edit yourself. No agencies, no white-labelling, no "team of editors". We want to work with the person doing the work.
Your own licensed software and hardware capable of fast turnaround.
Please don't apply if:
Your portfolio is wedding films, corporate explainers, YouTube long-form or showreels with no paid social work.
You've never had creative running behind real ad spend.
You need a storyboard and a shot list to start.
You're sending a generic proposal. We'll know.
To apply:
Applications that don't follow this format will not be reviewed.
Start your proposal with the word RENDER. This is how we know you read the ad.
Send 3–5 links to Meta ad creative you personally edited that ran with real spend. Direct links or a folder.
Tell us which software you work in and how you handle receiving raw footage and delivering finals.

What we offer:
Consistent, ongoing volume for the right person: this is not a one-off project. We move fast, we brief clearly, we pay on time, and if the work is good the workload grows.
