About Social Hotspot
We're a UK-based growth agency helping trades businesses — bathrooms, kitchens, windows — generate qualified leads and book appointments through a done-for-you marketing system called GrowthSuite.
We've generated £25M+ for our partners. We're trusted by 80+ active businesses. And we're on a mission to hit £100M in sales for UK trades businesses. We're growing fast and we need the right people to grow with us.
About The Role
This is not a senior media buyer role with a nicer title.
You own the performance of every ad account we run — around 120 accounts across three client pods — through a team of three Media Buyers and three Onboarding VAs, and you report directly to our founder. Two numbers sit above everything else on your scorecard: total churn and average client satisfaction score. Everything else in the role exists to move those two numbers.
The standard here: you should know the ad accounts better than the media buyers do. That comes from inspecting the actual work — accounts, builds, tickets — twice a week, every week. Not from reading a report at month end.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30 (UK time). Fully remote, full-time.
What You'll Be Doing
Running two full passes of every ad account each week — worst client score first, with red accounts taken apart line by line: copy, headline, targeting, offer, landing page, survey
Checking every client onboarding build within a day of completion — the media buyer's campaign setup and the VA's GoHighLevel build — looking for mistakes, not ticked boxes
Logging every finding with one clear change, and checking at the next pass that the change actually happened
Running weekly ad account coaching calls and weekly 1:1s with each media buyer, and weekly 1:1s with each VA
Sweeping every internal support channel and client WhatsApp group twice a week — and re-testing "resolved" issues yourself
Running a post-mortem within 48 hours on every account that churns or stays red for 30 days
Owning the at-risk list, attending the twice-weekly red flag meeting, and running weekly and monthly reviews with the founder
Grading your team monthly and running their bonus process
Hiring, onboarding, and — when it's the right call — exiting media buyers and VAs
Owning every media buyer and VA SOP, their ramp-up courses and the GoHighLevel course, on a rolling three-month audit
What You Must Be Strong At
Meta ads diagnosis — you can open an account you've never seen and find what's wrong in minutes
Coaching — getting a buyer to see the problem themselves, landing one change, and following up until the behaviour changes
Attention to detail at volume — 120 accounts, six people, every build checked, nothing skipped
GoHighLevel — landing pages, forms, automations, custom values and AI bots, well enough to catch someone else's mistakes
Commercial awareness — you understand lead quality, show rates and churn, not just CPL
Composure delivering hard news — to your team, and upward to the founder
Accountability — you own the team's numbers like they're your own business
Compensation
£3,250/month base salary (£39,000/year, approx. $4,300/month), plus monthly bonuses:
£250/month when total churn is 5% or under
£250/month when average client satisfaction score is 8.1+
£100/month when every client in their first 90 days is on pace to 45+ appointments
£15 for every ad account that was in the red zone at the end of last month and is out of it at the end of this month
No bonus is paid in any month where your own overall grade falls below a B — the account passes, the build checks and the 1:1s are the price of entry to the variable, not optional extras.
On-target earnings: roughly £45,500–£49,000 a year.

Who This Is For
Someone who's the best media buyer in the room and wants to make everyone else in it better. Someone who'd rather find the red account on Monday morning than hear about it from a client on Friday. Someone who can tell a colleague their work isn't good enough — and check the next week that it changed. Someone who wants to own the numbers, not just their own accounts.
Who This Is NOT For
Anyone who manages from a dashboard instead of opening the accounts. Anyone who quietly fixes other people's mistakes instead of telling them. Anyone who avoids hard conversations. Freelancers juggling other clients. Anyone who needs to be told what "good" looks like instead of building the standard themselves.
How to Apply
To be considered, you must apply here: ?
As part of your application, submit a Loom video (2–3 minutes) covering:
Who you are, the ad spend you've managed and the results you've got
A time you raised someone else's performance — trained them, checked their work or managed them — and what changed
Why you're the right person for this role
Applications without a Loom video will not be considered.
