OVERVIEW
At Clipmasters, people are the product.
We’re a fast-growing, remote-first creative production company working with editors, designers, motion creatives, marketers, and operational tea
This is a foundational role. You’ll be our first dedicated people hire and will work closely with the founders and our in-house trainer to shape the people side of Clipmasters with intention, clarity, and care — while keeping a high bar for quality and professionalism.
WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTISE
You’ll step into a company where a lot is already in motion. We’ve built hiring pipelines and systems that work — your job is to run them well, improve them where needed, and build the internal people structure that supports long-term growth.
You’ll be close to the team. Through regular 1:1s and check-ins, you’ll notice patterns, spot issues early, and help people grow in a way that’s good for them and for the company. You’ll also be comfortable speaking up when something isn’t working and proposing better ways forward.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You have solid experience in people operations, talent acquisition, HR, or a similar role
- You’ve worked in creative, agency, or digital environments
- You’re emotionally intelligent and comfortable having honest conversations
- You enjoy building structure and improving systems
- You like combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- You’re excited to grow into a Head of People or People & Culture Lead over time
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A large part of your role will be owning hiring from start to finish, including:
- Reviewing applications and trial tasks
- Running interviews across time zones
- Guiding candidates through our Test Week (together with our trainer)
- Making clear, thoughtful hiring recommendations
- Handling offers, contracts, and expectation-setting
Beyond hiring, you’ll help build the internal people foundation of Clipmasters, such as:
- A clear, human onboarding experience
- Internal guidelines and feedback cycles
- Performance and development conversations
- People documentation suited for a global, remote team
You’ll also contribute to how it feels to work at Clipmasters by:
- Holding quarterly 1:1s and development check-ins
- Supporting individual growth paths with the trainer
- Strengthening team connection and culture across time zones
- Helping celebrate wins, milestones, and progress
As we grow, this role will naturally expand into shaping our long-term people strategy and building a small people team.
