We’re seeking an experienced **Payroll Officer** with solid **bookkeeping skills** to manage our end?to?end weekly payroll for a workforce of approximately **500 employees**. This is a key role in a fast?paced environment where accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality are essential.
### ???? Key Responsibilities
- Process **weekly payroll for 500 staff**, ensuring accuracy and compliance with awards, EBAs, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain employee records, timesheets, leave balances, and onboarding/offboarding payroll data.
- Reconcile payroll reports, superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory obligations.
- Assist with month?end and year?end payroll reporting, including STP and EOFY finalisation.
- Support general bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and data entry.
- Respond to payroll queries promptly and professionally.
### ???? What You Bring
- Proven experience in **high?volume payroll** (300+ employees preferred; 500+ ideal).
- Basic Bookkeeping background preferred with excellent attention to detail. Accounts Receivable and Payable, Bank reconciliation
- Preferably you will have a solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance.
- Proficiency with payroll and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, Found U).
- Ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
