We are seeking a highly accountable, proactive, and compassionate Medical Assistant to manage patient communication for our fast-paced virtual weight loss clinic.
This is a patient-facing role primarily focused on text message communication with patients, with the potential to handle patient phone calls as you become fully trained.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner, an excellent communicator, and genuinely cares about patient care. You must be able to develop a strong understanding of our medical department, medications, labs, and patient workflows to confidently guide patients and ensure their questions are properly addressed.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily patient communication via text message.
Respond to patient questions clearly, professionally, and compassionately.
Proactively follow up with patients and provide updates without waiting for them to reach back out.
Develop a strong understanding of our medical workflows, medications, labs, pharmacies, and patient processes.
Coordinate with the medical team to obtain accurate answers and resolve patient concerns.
Recognize when questions or concerns need to be escalated to a medical provider.
Document patient communication and updates accurately within our systems.
Ensure no patient question, concern, or follow-up falls through the cracks.
Eventually assist with patient phone calls as you become fully trained.
Required Qualifications
Previous medical or healthcare work experience is required.
Mastery-level written and spoken English proficiency is required.
Experience communicating directly with patients.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient workflows.
Familiarity with GLP-1 medications, medical weight loss, or telehealth is highly preferred.
Exceptional communication and patient care skills.
Extremely accountable and able to take ownership of tasks through completion.
Proactive and comfortable speaking up or asking questions.
Able to remain calm, confident, and professional under pressure.
Quick learner with a strong work ethic.
Comfortable using technology and learning systems such as GoHighLevel, Zoho CRM, and Google Workspace.

Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST
Compensation: $7 to $12/hour, based on experience
Location: Remote. Stable internet and a quiet, professional workspace are required.
