We're a growing hearing care practice with multiple locations in the United States. We're hiring a Patient Care Phone Representative to handle our overflow call queue. You'll be the voice patients hear when they call, so how you sound matters as much as what you do.
This is a phone-first role. You'll be on inbound calls for most of your shift: scheduling appointments, answering questions, and getting callers to the right place quickly and professionally. If you're happiest with a headset on and a full queue, and you take pride in leaving every caller feeling looked after, this role is for you.
What you'll do
Answer inbound patient calls from our overflow queue throughout your shift
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments across multiple clinic locations
Route calls to the right location, team, or staff member
Answer common questions about appointments, locations, and services
Record call details accurately in our scheduling and phone systems
Handle every patient's personal and health information with strict confidentiality (training provided)
Escalate complaints, clinical questions, and anything unusual to the right person
What we're looking for
Near-perfect spoken English with a clear, neutral accent that is easy for US callers to understand. This is our top requirement.
A warm, patient, professional phone manner, including with elderly callers and callers who have hearing loss
Previous inbound call center, customer service, or medical receptionist experience; US healthcare experience is a strong plus
Comfortable on the phone for most of your shift
Accurate typing and data entry while on a live call
A quiet, dedicated workspace, a quality noise-canceling headset, and a stable high-speed internet connection with a backup
Available during US Eastern Time business hours
Compensation & growth
Starting at $800 USD/month, full-time.
30-day pay increase: a candidate who performs well in their first 30 days will receive a pay increase. We reward people who show up, sound great, and take care of our patients.
To apply
Please do all of the following. Applications that skip any step won't be considered.
Start your application with the word "Headset" so we know you read this post.
Submit a voice recording of 60–90 seconds (a Vocaroo, Google Drive, or similar link). In it:
Introduce yourself and describe your phone or customer service experience
Then read this sample greeting as if you were answering a live call: "Thank you for calling, this is [your name]. I'd be happy to help you schedule your hearing appointment. May I have your first and last name, please?"
Tell us how many years of inbound call experience you have, and whether any of it was in healthcare.
Confirm that you can work US Eastern business hours and have a noise-canceling headset.
We listen to every recording that follows these steps.
