About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Interpreter to join our fleet maintenance support team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the timely and accurate sourcing, ordering, and supply of parts to support our fleet maintenance operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and identify correct parts for a wide range of vehicles, plant and equipment
- Source and procure parts from preferred suppliers in line with operational requirements and budget
- Liaise with workshop and fleet teams to forecast, order and track part requirements
- Maintain parts inventory levels and support stock control processes across branches
- Ensure timely delivery and distribution of parts to workshop locations
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and warranty claims accurately and efficiently
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure lead times are met
- Assist in the development and upkeep of parts catalogues and records
- Provide general support to fleet administration and workshop coordination as required
About You
- Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter, ideally within the automotive, heavy vehicle, or equipment industries
- Strong knowledge of parts and components for light vehicles, trucks, and/or plant machinery
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confident in using inventory management and procurement systems
- Proactive, solutions-focused and a team player
- Proficient in English
