JOB OVERVIEW

Hiring: Part-Time YouTube Virtual Assistant — Channel Management & Optimization

We’re looking for an experienced YouTube Virtual Assistant to manage the daily operations of our educational and finance channels. This is an ongoing remote position working directly with our team.

Our ideal candidate is **responsive, organized, reliable, efficient, and a fast learner**. You should communicate promptly, meet deadlines consistently, keep tasks and files organized, and learn new tools and processes quickly.

You must have hands-on experience with **YouTube management tools and video optimization** and be comfortable handling a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision.

**Weekly Workload**

- One 8–10-minute YouTube video and three related Shorts per channel.
- Work alongside our video editor and other team members to coordinate production, prepare uploads, and manage channel operations.
- **If you are looking for additional hours, there may be an opportunity to manage two YouTube channels**, depending on performance and availability.

**Responsibilities**

- Research video topics, competitors, keywords, and audience interests.
- Suggest compelling video ideas, hooks, titles, and thumbnail concepts.
- Help prepare and refine outlines, scripts, and calls to action.
- Coordinate with team members, maintain the content calendar, and track deadlines.
- Review videos for spelling, captions, audio quality, visual consistency, and alignment with the approved script.
- Create or coordinate thumbnails and make basic edits when needed.
- Upload and optimize long videos and Shorts, including titles, descriptions, tags, captions, chapters, playlists, cards, and end screens.
- Schedule approved content and verify that uploads publish correctly.
- Review and optimize older videos and organize channel playlists.
- Monitor comments, prepare replies, and flag questions requiring our attention.
- Track views, click-through rates, audience retention, watch time, and subscriber growth.
- Provide biweekly performance reports with specific recommendations.
- Keep project files organized and provide regular progress updates.
- Handle other YouTube-related administrative and content support tasks as needed.

**Requirements**

- Previous experience managing or supporting YouTube channels.
- Experience optimizing videos for search visibility, clicks, and audience retention.
- Proficiency with YouTube Studio and experience with tools such as vidIQ, TubeBuddy, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Drive, and ChatGPT or similar AI tools.
- Strong written English and attention to detail.
- Ability to check AI-generated content and use reliable sources, especially for educational and finance topics.
- Prompt communication, a positive work attitude, and consistent follow-through.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work efficiently within an agreed weekly budget and learn new tools quickly.
- Reliable internet access and advance communication about potential delays.

Basic editing experience with CapCut or Intra Doodle is a plus.

**Training & Working Expectations**

We provide sample videos, brand materials, and guidance on our workflow. Our team can help you learn our specific process, but you should already understand YouTube channel management and optimization.

You should take initiative, ask questions when instructions are unclear, and keep us updated without repeated reminders. Please provide realistic time estimates and obtain approval before exceeding the agreed hours.

All content and significant channel changes must be approved before publishing or implementation.
