JOB OVERVIEW

Hiring: Part-Time YouTube Video Editor — Educational & Finance Videos

Remote contractor needed for ongoing weekly work. We use doodle animation and visual storytelling to make educational and finance topics easy to watch.

Weekly workload:

Every week you must finish:

1. One 8–10 minute YouTube video
2. Three related Shorts

If we need more that week, we may add a second package: One extra long video and Three extra Shorts

Both packages, if assigned, must still be finished that same week. Pay will be adjusted for the extra package.
Tools:

- Intra Doodle for doodle / animated scenes
- CapCut for assembly, captions, pacing, music, sound, and Shorts
- ElevenLabs and HeyGen AI for voice and avatar assets we provide

A team member can train you on Intra Doodle, and there are also many YouTube tutorials. We will share sample videos so you can match our style.

Responsibilities

- Edit from our scripts, storyboards, voiceovers, and brand materials
- Build clear scenes with animation, images, charts, and diagrams
- Match visuals to the voiceover and keep pacing tight
- Create Shorts with strong hooks that work on their own
- Deliver final videos plus editable project files
- Revise from written feedback until the video meets our standard

Schedule and pay:

- Need some overlap between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time for messages
- Pay can be a fixed weekly rate or hourly
- Each assigned package must be finished within that week so publishing stays on schedule
- Typical turnaround after script and voiceover are delivered: long video in 2–3 days; 3 Shorts in 1–2 days

Requirements:

- Experience editing long-form YouTube videos and Shorts, ideally educational or finance content
- Strong CapCut skills; Intra Doodle experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn Intra Doodle quickly if it is new
- Someone who enjoys editing and can make a strong video without extra hours
- Careful with on-screen numbers and text
- Responsive, professional, and open to feedback

6. Weekly availability, ET overlap between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and earliest start date

Selection process:

Shortlisted candidates will complete a 30-second unpaid CapCut sample on a topic we provide. The sample is for evaluation only and will not be published or used commercially without a separate paid agreement.

We’re looking for a long-term editor who likes the work, communicates clearly, and delivers on time.
