JOB OVERVIEW

# Part-Time WordPress, WooCommerce & SEO Assistant

### Long-Term UK Client | Every Monday | $5 Per Hour

We are looking for an **experienced WordPress, WooCommerce and SEO Virtual Assistant** to become the person we trust to maintain and improve our company websites.

This is a **long-term, permanent part-time role** working every Monday with our UK-based businesses.

We currently operate:

* Salon Deliver – professional hair-product distribution
* Mulberry & Flitch – luxury hair salons and online retail
* Cosmos Football Community – a new football business with a small online shop launching later

Our websites use:

**WordPress | WooCommerce | Elementor | Yoast SEO**

There are approximately **800 products across our two main websites**.

This is **not a web-development or coding position**. We need someone who already knows WordPress and WooCommerce and can confidently maintain e-commerce websites.

## HOURS & PAY

**Every Monday
9:00am–5:00pm UK time**

30-minute unpaid break.

**7.5 paid hours per week**
**$5 USD per hour**
**$150 every four weeks**

We pay every four weeks, giving **13 pay periods per year**.

Additional paid hours may occasionally be available for large product launches, price changes or other projects.

You must be available for communication with our UK office throughout your Monday working day.

## WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your responsibilities will include:

* Add new WooCommerce products
* Update existing products
* Research new products using Google and AI
* Write and improve product descriptions
* Research keywords and improve SEO
* Complete Yoast SEO titles and meta descriptions
* Improve existing product listings
* Update prices from supplier price lists
* Check prices are correct after updates
* Upload, resize and optimise product images
* Create image filenames and ALT text
* Make simple Elementor text, image, button and link changes
* Create simple promotional graphics
* Help create our monthly Salon Deliver deal sheet using Canva
* Update approved WordPress plugins
* Check websites after plugin updates
* Test shopping carts and checkout
* Test contact forms
* Test discount codes
* Check important links
* Check mobile and desktop display
* Maintain spreadsheets using Google Sheets or Excel
* Identify problems and report them
* Suggest ideas to improve the websites

## SEO IS IMPORTANT

We are not looking for someone who simply uploads products.

When urgent work is completed, you will systematically work through our existing products and improve:

* Keywords
* Product titles
* Product descriptions
* SEO titles
* Meta descriptions
* ALT text
* Categories
* Internal links
* Search visibility

We want someone who is interested in helping our websites **rank better on Google and generate more sales**.

## AI IS ENCOURAGED

We actively use **ChatGPT and other AI tools**.

You should be comfortable using AI for:

* Product research
* Keyword ideas
* SEO
* Product descriptions
* Competitor research
* Proofreading
* Problem solving

However, **AI-generated information must always be checked before publishing**.

Never guess product information, prices or claims.

## REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

You must already have practical experience with:

* WordPress
* WooCommerce
* Elementor
* Adding and editing products
* Basic SEO
* Keyword research
* Google Sheets or Excel
* Good written English

Experience with **Yoast SEO, Canva and ChatGPT** is strongly preferred.

You do not need to be a programmer.

Serious coding, server or plugin-conflict issues will be passed to a specialist.

## SHORT PRACTICAL TEST

Strong applicants will be invited to complete a short **20–30 minute practical test**.

We will give you a sample product and ask you to prepare:

* Product title
* Short description
* Full description
* Primary SEO keyword
* Supporting keywords
* SEO title
* Meta description
* Suggested product category
* Product tags
* Image filename
* Image ALT text
* Suggested internal links

You may use **Google, ChatGPT and other AI tools**.

We want to see how you research, think and check information.

If you cannot verify something, we would much rather you tell us than guess.
