JOB OVERVIEW

Remote | Flexible hours | Long-term opportunity

We’re a busy dental practice in London looking for a reliable, design-minded WordPress developer to help us maintain and grow our website on a part-time, as-needed basis. This is not a full-time role right now, but it could grow into one for the right person.

IMPORTANT: This role requires genuine coding ability, not just Elementor drag-and-drop skills. Please read the requirements below carefully before applying - we will only shortlist applicants who can clearly demonstrate hands-on coding experience.

About us:
Park Avenue Dental Care is a well-established dental practice in London, currently repositioning as a premium private and NHS practice. Our website is our primary patient-facing touchpoint and we want it to look and feel exceptional.

We need someone who:
- Has strong hands-on experience with WordPress and Elementor Pro specifically, including building pages from scratch and working within an existing site’s structure
- Can write and edit code directly - specifically JavaScript and CSS - and is comfortable making targeted changes to code written by someone else, not just starting fresh
- Has experience with form plugins, ideally Fluent Forms Pro or a close equivalent
- Has a sharp eye for clean, modern, professional design - nothing cluttered or dated
- Communicates clearly and promptly in English
- Can take a written or video brief and execute it with minimal hand-holding
- Is detail-oriented; checks that pages, links, and forms work correctly before marking a task done
- Is proactive, reliable, and wants a long-term working relationship
Tasks will include:
- Building and editing website pages using Elementor Pro
- Writing and editing custom JavaScript and CSS where needed
- Revisiting older sections of our website built with custom JavaScript and CSS, and redeveloping them to bring them in line with our current design
- Updating existing content (text, images, pricing, team pages)
- Mobile optimisation - ensuring pages look great on all devices
- Minor design improvements and layout tweaks
- Troubleshooting any technical issues that arise
- Keeping the site consistent with our brand (colours, fonts, tone)

1. Do you have hands-on experience writing and editing code, for example JavaScript and CSS? Are you comfortable working with existing code written by someone else and making targeted changes or improvements to it?
2. How would you describe your level of competency with Elementor Pro? Have you used it to build pages from scratch, and are you comfortable working within an existing site’s structure rather than starting fresh?
3. Have you worked with form plugins before, specifically Fluent Forms Pro? What kinds of forms have you built or configured?
4. Part of this role involves revisiting older sections of our website built with custom JavaScript and CSS, and updating or redeveloping them to bring them in line with our current design. Is that something you’d be comfortable taking on?

Please keep the design consistent with the existing look and feel of our site - the colours, fonts, and overall tone. The page should feel like a natural extension of what’s already there. At the same time, feel free to use your creative licence - we’re always open to fresh ideas.

The facial aesthetics page would typically include:
- A hero/banner section introducing the service
- A brief overview of treatments offered (e.g. anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters)
- A ‘why choose us’ or trust-building section
- A call to action / booking prompt
Please don’t overthink the written content - placeholder text is absolutely fine. We’re primarily interested in the visual layout and design direction, and in seeing how you approach a brief with minimal hand-holding.
