About the Work
Weave Homes is a US-based real estate developer with active construction projects. We're documenting our builds with daily progress reels for social media, and we're hiring a part-time video editor to take our raw site footage and turn it into polished short-form reels we can post every day.
This role is specifically for our construction/development side — not property management or rentals. Think "watch the project come together day by day" — daily phone footage from the job site turned into engaging, captioned reels for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
The Opportunity — Why This Role Matters
Our social account has actively been posting for 30 days and already growing fast:
~2,000 followers on Instagram
1,200 followers on TikTok
Several videos have hit 10,000-40,000+ views
Our goal is 100,000 followers by the end of the year. This editor role is essential to getting there — the bottleneck right now is volume. With a reliable editor on the team, we can post consistently every day, scale up production, and accelerate the growth we've already seen. You won't just be cutting clips — you'll be a key part of building a brand from the ground up.
The Role
10–20 hours per week, flexible schedule
Daily output cadence (roughly 5–7 reels per week)
We provide the raw footage (mostly phone clips from the job site)
Most edits are scheduled in advance, but some will need next-day turnaround for timely content — you need to be available for occasional fast turns
What You'll Do
The editing is fairly basic — most of the job is:
Cutting and trimming clips
Sequencing them into a clean visual story
Adding captions and text overlays (this is critical — viewers need text to understand what's happening on site)
Syncing to music and adding light sound effects
Light color correction
Occasional time-lapse / speed ramps for "watch this come together"
Exporting in 9:16 for Reels/TikTok and 1:1 for Instagram feed
What You Need
Proficient in CapCut (this is the tool we work in — please don't apply if you only use other software)
A good eye for pacing and visual storytelling
Strong written English for captions (clear, concise, no typos)
Fast turnaround — usually 1–2 days from receiving footage, sometimes 24 hours
Reliable internet
Personal computer or phone capable of running CapCut smoothly
Experience preferred but not required. Construction, real estate, or "day in the life" content experience is a plus. We'd rather hire a fast, reliable junior editor with good taste than someone with five years of experience who can't hit our daily turnaround. If you've edited construction, behind-the-scenes, or progress-style reels before, mention it.
Compensation & Schedule
$5 USD/hour, 10–20 hours per week
Flexible schedule — timezone-agnostic, work whenever fits your day
Paid weekly via PayPal, Wise, or Payoneer (your preference)
