JOB OVERVIEW

I'm a content creator based in Hawaii looking for an experienced short-form video editor to help me turn raw footage into polished, scroll-stopping TikToks and Instagram Reels. My content is lifestyle and vlog-style — think day-in-the-life clips, casual storytelling, and authentic (not overly polished or "salesy") ---------- nts. I need someone who can capture that natural tone while still making the edits feel dynamic and well-paced.

This is a part-time, ongoing role — great for someone looking for consistent recurring work editing a set number of videos per week/month.

Responsibilities:

Edit raw footage into short-form vertical videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels
Add trending sounds and text overlays in CapCut
Maintain a natural, authentic vlog/lifestyle tone — not overly produced
Turn around edits within an agreed timeframe
Take light creative direction and incorporate feedback/revisions
Design simple cover images/thumbnails in Canva for Reels and TikToks

Requirements:

Proven experience editing vlog or lifestyle content specifically for TikTok/Instagram Reels (not just general video editing)
Strong working knowledge of CapCut (required)
Comfortable designing simple covers/thumbnails in Canva (required)
Good sense of pacing, trends, and short-form storytelling
Reliable internet connection and ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills in English
