**8 READ BEFORE APPLYING **.
StainTex is a US fence staining and wood restoration company operating in
Texas. Homeowners call us, we quote them, we put them on the schedule, and
our crews stain their fence. Simple business — but it lives or dies on how
well the customer is handled between "they called" and "the crew shows up."
Right now the owner does all of that himself. That is the job we are hiring
for.
THIS IS NOT A DATA ENTRY JOB
You will be on the phone with American homeowners. You will be the voice of
the company. When a job goes sideways — wrong color, crew is late, weather
pushed the schedule, customer doesn't like how it dried — you are the person
who calls them, apologizes sincerely, and fixes it. If that sentence makes
you nervous, this is not your role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Answer inbound calls from homeowners and return missed calls same-day
- Book, confirm, reschedule, and reshuffle jobs on our calendar around
weather and crew availability
- Walk customers through stain color selection and set correct expectations
about how a color will actually look on their wood
- Learn our two product lines (water-based and oil-based) well enough to
recommend the right one for each fence — including when a previously
stained fence must stay with the same base, and when we should recommend
our premium oil-based line
- Explain our service tiers and pricing clearly and confidently
- Follow up on quotes that haven't been answered
- Keep the CRM clean: notes on every call, correct stage on every job
- Send day-before confirmations and after-job follow-ups
****- Handle complaints start to finish and escalate only what truly needs the
owner***8
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Clear, neutral, easy-to-understand spoken English. Americans should not
have to ask you to repeat yourself.
- 2+ years on the phone with US customers (support, dispatch, appointment
setting, or a US home-services / contractor account)
- Genuinely calm and warm when someone is upset. You apologize like you mean
it, you don't get defensive, and you don't hide from a hard call.
- A problem solver. When a customer has an issue, we want to hear "here's
what I already did about it," not "what should I do?"
- Organized enough to run a live schedule without dropping anyone
- Reliable internet, a quiet place to take calls, and a working headset
- Available during US Central business hours
NICE TO HAVE (not required — we will train you)
- Experience with GoHighLevel or a similar CRM
- Background in home services, construction, painting, or contracting
- Any knowledge of stains, paint, or coatings
SCHEDULE AND PAY
- Part time, about 20-25 hours per week
- Hours fall inside US Central business hours (roughly 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST)
- $600 USD per month to start
- We are building this into a full-time Operations Manager seat. The person
who does this well grows into running our scheduling and customer
operations across multiple cities.
- Paid training on our products, pricing, and systems
