JOB OVERVIEW

Part-Time Ecommerce Video Editor for Meta Ads
Remote
Part-Time | 10–15 hours/week
Compensation: $12/hour
Schedule: Flexible, async, with weekly deadlines

About Us
We’re a U.S.-based women’s clothing brand known for thoughtful design, natural fabrics, and easy, everyday pieces.
We’re looking for a part-time video editor to help us create a steady flow of simple, clear, effective video content for Meta ads.

This role is less about fancy transitions or cinematic editing and more about understanding what makes a paid social video work.

We need someone who can take raw footage, identify strong ---------- nts, create smart hooks, and turn that footage into multiple ad-ready cuts for testing.

About the Role
We are looking for someone with specific experience editing videos for Meta ads, especially Facebook and Instagram placements.

This role is not just about cutting clips together. We want someone who understands short-form paid social creative and can help us build a more consistent creative process.

You’ll be working with raw footage from brand shoots, founder videos, product videos, and creator/UGC-style content. From that footage, you’ll create multiple versions for testing different hooks, angles, pacing, product callouts, and customer personas.

The goal is to help us turn hours of footage into a steady volume of ad-ready creative each week.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for:
Reviewing raw footage and pulling out the strongest ---------- nts
Cutting longer footage into short-for ---------- ta ad videos
Creating 15, 30, and 60-second cuts when needed
Creating multiple variations from the same footage for testing
Editing different hooks and openings
Adding clean text overlays, captions, and product callouts
Creating simple, clear videos that match our brand tone
Editing founder videos, creator videos, product videos, and lifestyle footage
Working from creative briefs, references, and content pillars
Helping us test different angles, personas, and product messages
Organizing and naming files clearly in Google Drive
Delivering a consistent weekly output of finished ad creative

Weekly Output

We are looking for someone who can produce around 20 pieces of content per week.
This does not mean 20 completely separate video concepts from scratch. Many of these will be variations, such as:
Different hooks from the same footage
Shorter and longer cuts
Different opening lines
Different text overlay versions
Different product callouts
Different cuts for different customer angles
We care about consistency, clarity, and testing volume.

What We’re Looking For

You might be a strong fit if you:
Have specific experience editing Meta ads
Understand how Facebook and Instagram ads are different from organic social content
Know how to create strong hooks in the first few seconds
Understand pacing for paid social
Can turn raw footage into multiple usable ad variations
Have a good sense for product callouts and customer pain points
Can work without needing a full script or detailed brief every time
Can follow brand references and keep the editing clean and simple
Communicate clearly and deliver on deadlines
Are comfortable working async
Are organized with files, naming, and versioning
Can take feedback and improve future edits based on what is working
We are not looking for overly polished, cinematic, effects-heavy videos. We are looking for clean, direct, thoughtful editing that works for paid social.

Skills That Matter Most

The most important skills for this role are:
Meta ad editing experience
Strong short-form video timing
Good hook selection
Clear pacing
Clean captions and text overlays
Ability to create variations for testing
Good judgment when reviewing raw footage
Understanding of ecommerce and product-focused content
Reliability and clear communication
Experience with apparel, beauty, lifestyle, wellness, or other ecommerce brands is a plus.

Tools We Use

We are flexible on editing tools, but please let us know what you use.
Common tools may include:
CapCut
Adobe Premiere Pro
Final Cut Pro
Canva
Descript
Google Drive
We use Google Drive for sharing footage, organizing files, and giving feedback.

This Role Is Not for You If You

This role is probably not the right fit if you:
Only have experience with long-form YouTube editing
Specialize mainly in cinematic edits, heavy transitions, or effects-driven videos
Need to be told exactly what to do every step of the way
Are not familiar with Meta ad creative
Struggle to create multiple variations from the same footage
Prefer one-off projects instead of an ongoing weekly workflow
Struggle with deadlines, organization, feedback, or async communication

Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time remote role.
Estimated hours: 10–15 hours per week
Compensation: $12/hour
