About the Role
I'm a US-based writer, lifestyle creator, UGC creator, and founder of a growing media brand focused on midlife lifestyle, travel, food, beauty, and reinvention for women.
My content business has grown quickly, and I'm looking for a reliable, creative, tech-comfortable assistant who can help me with the production, publishing, organization, and distribution side of the business.
I am not looking for someone to create my brand or replace my voice. I create the concepts, stories, content, and overall strategy.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys taking creative work and getting it finished, polished, organized, and published.
The right person should enjoy Canva, CapCut, social media, learning new platforms, staying organized, and figuring things out.
Initial Responsibilities
Video Editing — CapCut
Edit short-form videos in CapCut.
Edit Instagram Reels and Trial Reels.
Help create multiple versions of existing content for testing.
Edit Amazon Creator and Trybe videos.
Occasionally edit UGC/brand videos according to provided briefs.
Add captions, B-roll, music, text, transitions, etc. when appropriate.
Resize/export content for different platforms.
Learn my preferred editing style and make the process increasingly efficient.
You don't need to create the original content. I will generally provide the raw footage, concept, script/hook, and creative direction.
Instagram Support
Help me increase my publishing volume without requiring me to personally produce every version of every piece of content.
Tasks may include:
Help create/edit up to 5 Instagram Trial Reels per day from existing footage and concepts.
Edit regular Instagram Reels.
Create alternate versions with different hooks or edits for testing.
Monitor Instagram trends, formats, audio, hooks, and content styles.
Bring me relevant Reel ideas and examples that could work for my audience.
Perform light community engagement.
Like appropriate posts/comments.
Respond to simple positive comments with warm variations of "thank you" and the person's first name.
Flag questions, meaningful conversations, brand inquiries, media inquiries, and anything requiring my personal response.
You will not be expected to pretend to be me in meaningful conversations or make strategic decisions on my behalf.
Amazon Creator
Amazon Creator is becoming a significant part of my content workflow.
Tasks may include:
Upload approved videos.
Add required information.
Keep track of which videos have been uploaded.
Track pending/live content.
Maintain an organized content tracker.
Learn the platform and its best practices.
Complete relevant training/course material that I provide access to when permitted.
Summarize useful lessons and help implement them in our workflow.
I currently spend several hours at a time doing Amazon uploading and administration, so taking ownership of repetitive platform work will be an important part of this role.
Trybe
Upload approved videos/content to Trybe.
Track submissions and status.
Maintain organized records of what has been submitted.
Learn the platform.
Complete relevant training/course material when access permits.
Help implement useful platform practices.
Prior experience with Trybe is not required. Being willing and able to learn new platforms independently is more important.
Canva & PDF Production
This is an important part of the role.
I already own professionally designed Canva template packs, some containing 100–200+ page-layout options.
I will provide:
Finished copy/content
Brand direction
Templates
Photos I want used
Charts/data when applicable
You will:
Review the available template pages.
Select layouts that best accommodate the content.
Flow the provided text into the templates.
Format headings, body copy, charts, lists, tables, etc.
Adjust spacing and typography.
Make pages visually balanced and consistent.
Rearrange template pages as necessary.
Export polished finished PDFs.
I am not looking for someone to choose my photography, rewrite my copy, or redesign my brand.
I want someone who enjoys the production/layout work that happens after the creative decisions have already been made.
Pinterest, YouTube &
I will be expanding distribution of my existing content onto Pinterest, YouTube, and
I would like help with:
Initial account/page setup and optimization.
Organizing profiles, branding, boards/playlists, etc.
Uploading and repurposing existing content.
Turning appropriate existing videos into YouTube Shorts.
Creating/uploading Pinterest content from existing articles, travel content, recommendations, and other assets.
Learning platform best practices.
Helping maintain these channels once established.
These should become distribution channels for content I already create, not entirely separate content businesses.
Prior expertise on every platform is not required. Strong ability to learn is.
Light Administrative & Organization Support
Maintain content and campaign deadlines.
Track upcoming deliverables.
Maintain simple content trackers.
Track where content has been published.
Organize content assets/files when needed.
Flag upcoming deadlines.
Help keep projects moving through the production pipeline.
Trend & Content Research
I'd also like someone who genuinely enjoys social media.
Part of the role will involve keeping an eye on:
Instagram trends
Reel formats
Trending hooks
Editing styles
Trending audio
Creator trends
Midlife/lifestyle trends
Travel content
Food content
Beauty content
UGC trends
I don't expect you to determine my content strategy.
Instead, I'd like you to regularly bring me things such as:
"I noticed this Reel format appearing frequently this week. Here are three examples. I think your existing footage from Greece could work well with it."
I will d
What I Will Continue to Handle

The goal is not to replace my voice.
The goal is to give me another pair of capable hands.
Skills I'm Looking For
Must Have
Strong Canva skills
CapCut experience or strong willingness/ability to learn it quickly
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written English
Comfortable using Instagram
Comfortable learning new software and platforms
Reliable communication
Organized
Able to follow detailed instructions
Comfortable working independently once a process has been taught

You do not need experience with every platform listed.
I'd rather work with someone who is creative, organized, curious, and an excellent learner than someone who checks every software box but requires constant management.
What Makes Someone Excellent at This Job
You may be a great fit if you enjoy being the person who takes something from:
"Michelle created this."
to:
"It's edited, formatted, uploaded, tracked, and finished."
You notice details.
You enjoy figuring out software.
You're comfortable saying, "I haven't done that before, but I'll learn."
You can look through a 200-page Canva template without becoming annoyed by it. :)
You understand that small details matter.
You don't need constant supervision.
And you genuinely enjoy helping a creative person get more work out into the world.
Hours
I expect to begin at approximately 10–15 flexible hours per week, although workload may vary.
Some weeks may require fewer hours; others may have more content to process.
I'm interested in developing a long-term working relationship if we're a good fit, but I would like to begin with a small paid trial project before making a larger commitment.
Paid Trial
Final candidates will receive a small paid trial assignment.
The test may include some combination of:
Formatting finished content using one of my existing Canva templates.
Editing a short video from provided footage in CapCut.
Completing a simple creator-platform publishing/organization task.
The purpose isn't to get free work. The test will be paid.
I want to see how we communicate, how well you follow creative direction, how much attention you give to details, and whether we enjoy working together.

Please include:

Please also tell me:
What part of this job sounds most enjoyable to you?
